thanks a lot!
yeah the fact that you still can choose a task while already doing one is an overlooked feature (I'd rather call it a bug) which we noticed after the time for the submissions ended. That's a bummer
yeah, as the music prod, I can agree on that. Due to bad planning, I put off making music and started off with sound effects, later on when the deadline was crawling, I had to basically shit out something. The result is like the third idea that I came up with and the devs said it was aight.
Thanks for the honest feedback, I'll try harder
thanks a bunch! Lots of people mentioned the similarity with WarioWare games, I can't tell for our devs if they even know this type of games, but I only googled it after receiving some comments about the resemblance. Not really a giant gamer myself (I was a music prod in the team), still am going to try these games out
The headlight-aiming mechanic is absolute genius! The game itself feels insanely juicy - the particle effects, sounds, and drift boosts make bashing into other cars so satisfying! Controls could be a tiny bit friendlier and the camera movement could be locked, but apart from that the core game loop of destroying cars for fuel is well executed. You did an amazing job!
Such a nice game. Very intriguing concept of implementing math in the gameplay. The way the game is rn is enough for little kids to learn simple arithmetics. Additionally, I also wanna menthion that in lots of games sound effects and music tends to be overlooked by devs, but this one is a whole other case - it's just hits the right spot. The Microsoft SAM sounds when announcing a number made me giggle 🤭
I like the idea of the game on a ship where you gotta take care of the people on their voyage. The visuals are great, the music fits perfectly, the vibes are totally there. The only drawback for me personally is that I don't have enough time to read through the text and the options to make a good choice (so you should may-y-y-be tweak the timer a little bit okay?). Other than that, it felt pretty good playing it
One of the best puzzle games I've played not on this jam, but EVER. It is. For sure. The controls seemed a bit funky for the start, but I dig that they're made like that on purpose. A little bit of polish - and that's a Newgrounds game! Other than gameplay I gained lots of joy looking at the color palette and I thought it reminds me of something and then it struck me like lightning that it's good ol' Mr. Karoshi that I used to play in early '10s back in the days. Ahh, such joyful period of time...
Ladies and gentlemen, this game is IT!
To be fair, I thought it would be another card game like Slay the Spire but it's not! Loved the visuals, loved the music and the change of it depending on your health. Even though the game lacks some polishing, but it's totally understandable given the conditions of the game jam in such limited time. I would totally recommend playing it.
Really fun concept with great potential for a neat puzzle game! However, the lack of control over the bomb gets pretty frustrating. Also would love the music accompanying me throwing the bombs into the lake, but I get it - shortage of time didn't let you focus on that. The presentation is great, the vibe and art are super cute, and it's a very clever take on the theme
Bring the funk! Whoever came up with the idea deserves a medal! But... there's always this one but: I did not enjoy the game the way I thought I was gonna enjoy it after I've read the description. Sometimes I just couldn't do the right combination of blocks for the party to keep on - it is either a me-problem or the generative side of the blocks is a lil bit funky. But, nevertheless, the visuals and the audio deserve a thumbs up!
The game looks very cute! Love the artstyle and the music. But apart from that, I found it super hard to play. The way you laid out the controls (arrows to move and the Z and X buttons to do things especially aiming with arrows) took the enjoyment part away from me. Also the movement could be done better, but I totally get that you were short of time to polish that.
Never had I ever think I would be so stressful just by plain looking at a timer and waiting :D What can I say... Brilliant game, great concept, great execution of the idea. Visuals are super dope, the audio is nicely done, I could tell just by the sound which timer went off. Even though I didn't get how to make a Tomato soup from the first try, I looked at the description and got the idea, but it's more of a minor UI issue tbf. Overall it's one of the best game I've played of the submissions
