First, stretegy need a infomation. infomation you need to explore the world. this game desined to find yourself between ignorance and ambiguity. 

1. LV4 Card isn't possible get day 1, find 'other' places.
2. Starvation not important. that makes only HP damage into when you try to sleep. but leed to spactial sceane.
3. when you touch the ball, that going to inventroy. you can see it right side in inventrory.
  + it is pretty not important.
4. CAT-CAT need to talking with friends a lot. 

As Rin said, dream never move when you didn't take action. such as open the door, find document, pick up the something.
take it easy and enjoy the exlpre the lab.  Next time you regret to why time isn't going slow.
