The slow play and the score displayed are quite hypnotic. With this state of mind, the music is too intense, though.

I don't know if there's a happy ending, and not knowing it creates a form of "sunken cost fallacy". Are you going to play for ever or stop playing ? But if you quit, maybe the ending was a few second away.

Thanks! I hadn't thought of a physical version, but I guess it could be played with stacks of poker chips or with dice (without rolling them, just for the number)

Nice mix of fun gameplay and gloomy aesthetic, and I like how capabilities and objective of the spider evolve over time. Very clever.
