Such a shame that the rating & ranking system doesn’t do justice to this game. It deserves to be way higher in the rankings. Such an amazing game.

This game deserves to be way higher in the rankings. Such a shame that the rating system is so flawed.

Thank you so much! Happy to hear that you enjoyed it.
We'd love to work on the game further after the jam if the demand is there. :D
We have way more mechanics and ideas in mind to build on top of the core game!

Thank you so much for playing! That's exactly what we were going for so it's very flattering to hear those words. Glad you enjoyed it!

Super happy to hear that you enjoyed it! We'd love to expand on the idea. I had some ideas like bombs that countdown only on hit but not on bounce, or even a bomb that create a platform on detonation. Unfortunately we could work on the game only for 2-2.5 days so we didn't get to implement all the ideas we had but a lesson I learnt from this jam is that it was also a good thing that the game is a short experience because everyone plays tens of games and getting a conclusion is a better player experience than getting stuck at some point and quitting. Hopefully we'll get to work on the game after the jam if the demand is there. :^)

Thank you for the feedback! Will work on the controls to make them rebindable after the jam hopefully!

Thank you for playing! Glad you had fun with it.

For sure, thanks!

Thank you for playing and writing feedback! I thought it'd be too boring if it got repetitive quickly without the new mechanics or too much information to take in all at once if it was all introduced at the same time. So I wanted to introduce new mechanics on the go. I understand that it might be a bit overwhelming though, which is why there's a play again button for each level even after you complete the level! Thank you for the kind and respectful feedback!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it. I had even more mechanics in mind such as bombs that create platforms once they explode but wanted to keep it short and on point because of the limited time!

You could say that it's a blast

Thank you for the kind words. Glad you enjoyed it!

Thank you for playing! I will hopefully make the controls rebindable after the jam!

Yeah I guess everyone has their own control schemes for platformers. I will work on the controls to make them rebindable post jam. Glad you enjoyed the game nonetheless!

Wow, very flattered to hear that, Thank you. We did our best with visual instructions rather than wall of texts for the tutorials but since we had limited time, we tried to keep it concise. And I designed the levels without requiring wavedashing  so it's an optional mechanic for the ones who enjoy it. Therefore we didn't have a tutorial for it to avoid confusion for the players who might not know what it is. And ofc happy to see a melee player enjoy our game, thank you!

Thank you for playing, glad you liked it!

Hey, thank you for playing! I will probably work on the controls to make it rebindable post jam. And ofc, I did check out your game!

Really interesting concept but the core gameplay loop is not very enjoyable as it deprives you from the most important sense. And when I reach the goal, it's not as satisfying. Really happy to see experimental take on the theme though.
Also for the onboarding, maybe if you could see the level first and then hop into the blind mode where you try to time the inputs, the players could have more of an idea on what they might have to do, so the first playthrough of each level doesn't feel like just a guessing game.
Other than that, fun experience, I like the simplicity of the art style.

Edit: Ah, I just read the previous comments and these were already mentioned. Well, it's still feedback!

Solid incremental game. Onboarding could be a bit better. Like slowly introducing the upgrades, etc. Nice game overall!

Thank you for playing it on stream even though I submitted it on the first day of the ratings. I watched the VOD.

One thing I learned from the feedback so far is that there is no control scheme universally accepted for platformers. Some people use WASD, some use arrow keys. Some people said that they would prefer the dash and the jump button to be swapped. One thing you mentioned in the stream was that you want the jump to be up arrow key though. In that case though, it's very common in platformers and platform fighters to have a separate button for the jump because up is for actions that require directional input such as dash and attack, which this game has. I will most likely work on the control scheme though, you're right, it would be perfect if they were remappable but I simply didn't have the time for that in the jam.

Other than that, you played only a few levels, which does not include all the mechanics built around the core mechanic but I appreciate it that you considered that you didn't play it long enough to have an accurate idea of it. From what I've seen so far,  people say that the controls were tricky in the beginning but they got used to it so I wish you played it a bit more, maybe it would've clicked for you. I'm not complaining, just accepting the feedback and doing my best to understand and evaluate it. Thanks for playing!

Your highness, in my defense, there was a banger music playing.

Super appealing visuals, really polished and fun. My only complaint would be the fact that the pixel sizes are not matching for some of the sprites. Other than that, it's beautifully done!

Love the art

Fun game, great visuals. Great work!

Amazing art style, a ton of replayability. Love the take on the theme. Great work!

This is such an amazing take on the theme. Amazing concept, beautifully executed. The mechanics is very easy to pick up but it introduces so much depth. The art and the player onboarding could be worked on, and then with some more polish, I can see a release. Good sound design too. Great work!

I had a kick out of this, really fun entry. Great job!

Thank you for the kind words, glad to hear that you had fun with it. Happy to see another wavedash enjoyer!

Thank you for playing! It's a bit difficult for sure, hope you enjoyed it though!

Thank you for playing!

Reminds me of troll quest games. Beautiful art style. I loved the bonus level, I wish it was expanded on! Great work.

This game hit too close to home. You're definitely right about calling it a rage game. Amazing work.

Fun concept. The controls could be a bit more intuitive, I like the art style though. Great job!

Really fun concept for a game jam. I was doing fine until the historical events x)

Yeah I’m sorry there’s a bug I noticed only after the deadline. You can still press esc / click the pause button to pause and unpause, which fixes it. You can also just press R to restart.

Thank you for playing, glad you had fun!

Thank you for the kind words! And yeah, fun coincidence :}

Simple but fun. Difficult but in a good way. The level design is very tricky considering the mechanics but it managed to keep me playing until the end. Great work!

Thank you for playing!

Thank you for playing. Happy to hear that you liked the onboarding. Our artist did her best to make it as visual as possible!
