Thanks for your feedback, I'll address those issues in the next update and add more content

Thank you !

Can't believe I didn't notice this bug, I'll try to fix it when I can

Thank you ! I think you've just been unlucky, heal potions have a 7% drop chance throughout the game. Or it was a bug ;)

Wave 22 is very solid !

Congrats, my personnal record is wave 18 !

Hey, I would love to watch you play my submission to the jam and hear your feedback / thoughts during your playthrough !

  1.  https://k2aris.itch.io/capsule-survivor (Capsule Survivor)
  2. Capsule survivor is a Roguelike with RPG elements. You must survive through waves of enemies, and become increasingly powerful with spells, abilities and power-ups.
  3. Game made by me, with some free assets for FX, music, and 3D environment. Links to those assets are provided in the itch.io page of the game.
  4. Suitable for all ages.
  5. My Timezone : Europe GMT+1
  6. Happy with any honest feedback

Thank you !

Capsule Survivor, Roguelike game : https://k2aris.itch.io/capsule-survivor

I'd like feedback on : Balance of the game, what is fun and what is not, and any eventual bugs

Thank you !

Final submission's build is out !

New build out, I'm pretty happy with the progress ! I struggled a lot with the 3D environment thought. It's definitly harder than I anticipated to come up with a credible scene and to shape the level, even with an asset pack... Tomorrow I'll finally focus on making a ranged type of enemy

Thank you :) Right now it isn't a proper rogue-like because it lacks procedural elements and randomness... But it's coming !

(2 edits)

I tried out to reduce by a third the health of the enemies and slightly increasing their number and wow it's way more enjoyable to complete the waves! What an advice, thank you so much ! I'll upload the new build tomorrow, when I'm done with making a proper environment

Funny how taking 20 seconds to change 2 variables made the game a lot more enjoyable than working a whole afternoon implementing a UI system and a new spell...

Hey, it's been a week of jam and my game is starting to take shape, so I'm finally posting the link here :

https://k2aris.itch.io/capsule-survivor

Since this is my first game ever I'm pretty happy with what I have so far ! Also as I have more free time this week I'll be able to implement more content into the game.

I'll be happy to read any feedback and suggestions !

Also making this game made me realize how difficult it can be to balance games, I'm already struggling to balance the only two spells in my game lol.

The idea is very cool, with a great visual identity ! The only small issue I had was a Healing Cell being stuck at the bottom of the map

I think you could add some particle effects when eliminating bacterias or healing wounds, it would make the gameplay even more satisfaying

Thank you so much for your great feedback !

I've been adjusting some aspects today and I increased the speed and decreased the couldown of the fireball.

UI has some issues in the web build, I don't have those issues in my editor so that's weird, I'll try to figure it out

Spawning definitly need more polishing but I need to work on new enemy types and new spell first otherwise I'm afraid I won't be able to finish the prototype before the end of the jam.

Thanks again !

Thank you !! Increasing the speed sounds like a good idea, I'll test this out. To make the gameplay more dynamic I'm planning on adding new enemy types, spells and maybe a roll mechanics

Game Title/URL: https://k2aris.itch.io/capsule-survivor

Pitch/Information: Roguelike game, you must survive through the waves and each completed wave will grant you a reward (spell, weapon or passive ability). Well I've only implemented a Fireball spell yet as a reward so there isn't so much choice

I'd like feedback on: Anything you can think of really ! suggestions, bugs or telling me the game is ugly as hell I'm happy to read it

Thank you !
