The win condition is to have an average temperature above 163 degrees. You have to play near perfect to get it (microwaves are pretty unreliable IMO) It is not articulated well in the game so I understand the confusion!  

If you want to understand the math behind it, the score for each layer is calculated as 165- error. Error is calculated in time and for each beat there is a forgiveness of 100ms. 

It is fun :) I felt like I was learning and getting better as I kept playing!

I like this idea a lot. There are a ton of slight variations that could be tried out for improved feel. Like I imagine that on the way back to the ship, the mouse had some pull on the orb.

I'm pretty proud of what my friends and I were able to accomplish. The audio desync in the video is not in the actual game.
