Tough to get started but once you're locked in this is great fun - capturing the balloons was quite tough

I enjoyed the combat rolling, and liked collecting a load of extra rolls and boosts to beat the minibosses - the UI was not very clear with how it worked, but I did piece together that each die would either land on an attack face or a defence face, and 1hp goes if a combatant has more attack than their opponents defence? It was hard to spot the difference between an attack roll and a defence roll, and the next turn started very quickly
Phew I struggled at first and couldn't get a better score then 3, but decided to try and lock in and go up to 6
It was hard to track projectiles leaving the loop and being ready for them to come out the other side - particularly while moving/dodging and being under fire from the shotgun/pool enemies
I did enjoy getting amped up and locked in
Cheers!
I have been trying to find a way of bringing that distribution into a game for a while, and thought about ideas like an enemy dropping an item with no mean drop rate, or a weapon with no mean chance to hit. I don't think those quite work however because the random number you draw can't be contained to the interval [0, 1], which is how you would usually do those things.
I realised it might only really work as a kind of money or exp, and thought an idle game would be the place to explore it in practise.
I only realised later how the player's wealth in yuan is an example of something called a Levy Flight: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%A9vy_flight
