Ultimately why I went with 3D is actually to save time! 3D characters allowed me to ise motion capture fir animations and tge 3D representation of the scene takes like 15 min to do and propably can already be done with AI. You would be surprised at how much work there really is to bri g the backgrounds to life. Cutti g the doir enter / exit animations would save a lot of time though!

yeah for inv items there is also VO, when you hold the mouse on it long enough. But you may need to enable it in the settings.  It should be a different thing than that button audio. I am quite sure this demo version already has spoken inspect texts as I wanted my kids to be able to play (one of them can not read) but I may remember wrong and this demo does not yet have that feature! Sorry I am on my pho e and can not test immediately to make sure.

There is voice support for thise as well. It kicks in with a timer when you hover on the items. Or should. Could be in the settings.

controller support will be added. But after the rest of the game is done. Or when I get really motivated to do it.

they also help with the development as I can already do all of the implementation and get an actual feel for how the lines feel spoken out.

i totally agree about the voiceovers. My plan is to replace the AI audio for the key characters with real actors at the end when all the lines are locked in.

A fairly recent intel mac, preferably an apple silicon model or a pc that pretty much turns on. the system specs are very low! If someone does come across a conputer that can not run it smoothly, please let me know!
