Loved the warm chemistry between the characters; no matter how brief of an appearance, it felt like there was an established history between them. Likewise enjoyed the taking on of darker tones like war and plague, but vague enough that the reader was no bogged down by the misery, not to mention the fact is served to help propel the story and its relationships forward.
