I really like the idea of combining rhythm mechanics with combat. It reminded me of Hi-Fi RUSH. I do wish missing a single beat didn't leave me unable to act for the next few moments, though. It would also help if the countdown timer were placed somewhere more noticeable.
It's a really fun game! I especially loved the thrill of killing a huge wave of enemies right before the timer ran out and watching the remaining time shoot back up.
A few small suggestions:
I think Enter on the title screen could be replaced with Space, or Press Any Key.
It would also be nice if the shop upgrades were clickable with the mouse instead of only being selectable with the number keys.
The condition for entering the shop isn't very clear. I think it's every 30 seconds, but making that trigger more obvious would help a lot.
The art and audio are fantastic, avoiding enemies in the darkness is thrilling too. I just wish the tutorial were a bit more polished. Anyway, I love this game!
I love this game! It’s short and restarts quickly, so I kept retrying over and over. I do think it would be better if there were a brief warning before a bomb goes off, because it's really hard to tell when I'm about to get blown up out of nowhere.
