itch.io

Every time I play a game and think that it will definitely win this jam, another one comes up better than the first one :)  You should definitely expand it into a full game, you did an incredible job on this !

Yes i'm serious :)

Thanks!

Done! Also, if you want to see more platformer-type games for inspiration, you can check out my game :) and a few others in the jam. I'm not mentioning any specific techniques because a lot of the comments have already named them..

Pretty well done for your first project, especially in such a short time! Don't give up on gamedev, and hope to see you soon in future jams as well!

Pretty good idea! Loved the ambiance and sfx, but the sounds stopped suddenly after a while..

Pretty fun concept for a resource management game! The only change I wanted was an increased difficulty

https://itch.io/jam/mini-jam-221-autumn/rate/5139868 Here is mine! Do check it out!

Really fun to play through! Loved the voices so much I slowed down the typing just to hear them speak better :)

AWESOME GAME! The visual and audio effect when the player restores a section is just AMAZING! I loved the gimmicks and the different ways you played with the idea. One of the best games in this jam (maybe even the best) for me

Thanks for checking out my game!

Thankuuu! I had a lot of fun making this game

Thanks! I'll keep it in mind for the next jam!

Thank you so much!!!

LMAO 😭😂 They throw hands better than most of us. Would love it if you checked out my game too! A rating would mean a lot ❤️

Wowwww!! Thank you sooo much for finishing almost the entire game ( ๑ ˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و ♡

Just shoot the level end pillar.. It'll appear ( that's also in the description :) )

Just wait until you reach level 2..  😈

No need to apologise :)

I didn't add checkpoints because the levels are really short and only the third level was hard (for me, I might have messed up the balance a bit).. and you can hide under the semi-solid platforms , like the player is doing in the game screenshot :(  I hope you'll try to play it again..

This is so high quality I have no clue how you finished it in time for the jam 😮

Thank you so much for the review!! Did you see the 5 achievements the game has? :)

Thanks!!

I didn't understand to use the right mouse button to pick up food :(  so I think that's the only part that needs explaining.. My game also has lots of similar feedback about needing a tutorial as well

Haha, great minds think alike! 🔥 If you haven't already, I'd love for you to check out my game as well! A rating and some feedback would mean a lot. 😄

Thanks! I used GameMaker to make this game.. and since I don't have much experience with itch.io , I didn't know the details of the fullscreen mode.. and yeah, I think an in-game tutorial is the main thing that's missing :( I'll make a short one in the next game I make.

Sorryy :( I ran out of time before adding the tutorial, so I added the mechanics in the description of the game.. I hope you'll give it another try though, the third level was my favourite to make.

really liked the artstyle and room designs! But it could use a explanation of the controls, and some way of spicing up the gameplay loop. Overall it's pretty cozy and fun! Well done!

Very fun and unique idea! The ui looks so smooth and fits perfectly into the game! Nice Work ;)

Pretty good concept, just required a bit more polish! The pixel art was charming though!

Love the simplistic polished artstyle and the tutorials for the controls really help!

It's short but fun enough.. The leaf animation when going left and right looks pretty well-made.. could use some more polish, background, and more obstacle variation..

had fun playing, but initially I couldn't understand if I was actually correctly smashing them, so a little UI or health bar would fit in nicely here. Upgrade tree is definitely the best part

It was too hard for me to finish :( but I had fun trying to time the parries. The artstyle is beautiful :) I'll try and finish it later

Really loved the artstyle, simplistic but very fitting. The player and enemy designs and animations are top notch ( especially how the flower punches the player) and the controls are fun and fast paced too. Very well made :)

Sorry but I keep getting stuck and fall underneath the map :(

Awww :(

Thanks for taking the time to play through my game! Did you manage to collect all the collectibles? (There's 16)

Thanks for playing!!!!

Got to Level 4 but will continue playing it later on as well
