Thank you! :)

Cool concept! It looks very trippy

It turned out so nice! I love how organic it feels. Making the grass a repeating tile was a clever move!

Thank you!

Thanks!

There's something soothing about how minimalist the artwork is. It feels like a pixel art version of an ink drawing to me, something you'd find in a comic or manga.

That's a creative interpretation of the Triforce! At some point I considered making the Triforce as well but my brain couldn't come up with anything beyond a boring triangle lol

Thank you! The tile limit was so annoying ngl haha I had to simplify the background a lot and leave out bulbasaur's vines to keep everything under 192. :[

Too many good artworks this year! Congrats to you as well. I can't believe your entry was done in Pixquare, I've heard good things about the app but I never really got into it. How was your experience working with it for this jam?

This is my first time  participating in a pixel jam. I've never done pixel art in this style before, so it was a great opportunity to learn something new! I struggled a bit with the tiles constraint. I don't know how many hours I spent trying to reduce the number of unique tiles, I had to get rid of some details and simplify the background but thankfully it turned out ok at the end.

Looking forward to joining the next jam! :)

Got it, thanks!

Quick question about the rules: Would fanart of an existing character/franchise be allowed as long as the artwork itself is drawn from scratch and follows all the jam requirements? Just wanted to make sure.
