very great game. really cute humans to human on these cute lakes. halftones are an AMAZING way to implement the limitation, i don't get why other people didn't think that way as well. the music and sound are gorgeous, and everything is communicated very well, with the controls on screen and great humaning system.
only thing i'd change is to make the shop text clearer, as i didnt understand most items before buying. and also to have a popup of the human you just humaned, as it'd be cool.
that said, i love the upgrades, because they change different aspects of the humaning experience, and i can shape it how i want, because i liked to have more chances but still keep it at a quick reaction time. also, i love when the popups bleed into each other. when sebastian first appeared, i lost him because i didn't know which one i had to do first, and it was very overwhelming, but that's GREAT. even at 100% gear, i was able to lose, and that encounter felt magical.
great game gg
the problem with the controls for me is click to draw then click to erase. backtracking should be easy. also, i shouldn't need to draw perfectly on the squares (especially if the game will be this tiny) so you'd need to make a system to guess what the player's intentions are (maybe paint the square on the general direction the player's pointing without crossing walls?)
but i know this is just a jam submission, i didn't expect a perfect game, i'm just giving you tips on your next one, and improving this one is great practice! it deserves it, such a cool idea
the game seems to have a really cool idea, but it didn't communicate that very well. i understood each building takes and creates a resource, but i can't find a way to make planks (the sawmill doesn't do anything) and because of that, i can't create many buildings. i reset many times. is there a way to make it work?
(the music is incredible tho. nice choice)
would be cool if the difficulty got progressively harder, or if there was an option to choose one, because right now it's just endless. the loop tool is also a bit clunky, it just dissappears way too soon and theres a delay before the enemies die so it feels a bit distant. it's also a bit unclear the haters' opinions about ai. are they for or against it?
love the visuals! i really liked the things i was seeing outside, but unfortunately there was a spot that the lever always got caught, and it's very hard to stay sane in this game. i would've played a bit more if the intro wasn't that long and the light turning was smoother, but i smiled at the bitcrushed tutorial and beautiful sprites
i'm more of a composer than anything else, so you can't imagine how much i wanted to put audio into this game, but the way it is right now is very different from what we were making (read the game description if you want details). but than you so so much for playing!! and i'm glad you liked the visuals! it's what remained the most in this last stretch
would be nice if there was any other download option because the performance was bad on the browser. but wow, this was really fun. the music is really fucking cool, the sound effects are nice, i laughed way too hard at the death sound, gameplay feels awesome, ending made me laugh, just wish the paper planes weren't a certified hit, but other than that, cool
