I just wanted to say how much I adore this game! Myself and a friend actually decided to use a hack of it to explore a couple specific characters (where it was [Another cartoon cat] ± [A specific character]) from an actual play. We did a couple with Bubsy the Bobcat as the Garfield stand-in, and one with Big the Cat. Kept the same vibes with life events, behavior tables, and the cat also being an object of some kind (a copy of Bubsy in Clawed Encounters of the Furred Kind and a SEGA Dreamcast, respectively).

All in all, we had a really great time with this - the game presents such an interestingly introspective feeling, and if you take getting in-character as Garfield (or whatever cartoon cat) seriously, it creates this poignant contrast between the absurdity of the premise and the heartfelt emotion of the scenes that get created.

Which all sounds like a joke, but it seriously works so well as a driver for character-based improv. Highly recommend playing this at least once, and can confirm that it definitely works as a character exploration tool!

As the writer for "To Invent Longing" this means so much to me, and I'm so glad you enjoyed the story! Quesar and River did such a good job of putting images to my words too!

The team did really amazing work overall, and I'm really happy with how all the stories came out!
