Alright, got it then.

The menu option for character select appears for me from the Castle area (not sure if this chap 3 so Im mentioning it). When I click on it I see the char select screen but all the options are empty and I have nothing to select too (unlike the one preview image). The game also gets softlocked and I have to refresh the page.

This was really damn good! Have to ask since I saw that the save files getting lost is an unfortunate recurring thing with updates: is there a chapter skip function that I somehow missed or is it a future feature?
