Well, this game just grabbed my attention.

Premise is fascinating. The story as it is does a pretty good job of invoking the emotions it intends, the sort-of melancholic feeling of moving to a new school at the end of the year, the grandeur of the new school, the intrigue of the eponymous Diary.

Would have wished that there was a dark mode option, but otherwise the options given aren't lacking.

So basically, I enjoyed my experience with what is here and I am eager to see how things develop.

I could now understand why Papers Please became rather popular despite it bluntly being a paperwork simulator, because this is actually pretty engaging and enjoyable.

I could say it's better than the game that inspired it because it doesn't have that timer which makes the whole thing rather stressful to deal with.

Like there is still a lose condition but you are not having to deal with having to do things flawlessly while it also being a time trial.

So I am rather curious as to how this game would evolve, not that what is already here is a bad experience mind you.

This is an enjoyable and thought provoking game, if one whose intended experience I ruined because I read the description before playing it. But considering the title of the game jam this was submitted to, I think it would be easy to guess as to what the message of it was.

As other commenters have pointed out, the game is well done. The Visuals are pleasing to look at, the music is bearable enough I suppose, and it runs without glitching. Which doesn't sound like much, but crossing the bar of having a functional game is a difficult thing to achieve, even if it doesn't look like it. As I understand it anyway.

The experience itself, as mentioned previously, proved enlightening. The whole thing where you try to choose the "good" options early on leading to failure due to you not being able to both buy lemons and sell them at the same time leading to you just buying the one with the bigger number. Which initially is understandable, after all why buy a manual squeezer when you can grab an electric one.

Over time however, likely representing the company becoming a larger and more influential corporate entity, it becomes questionable. Do greenwashing, dump the waste on a river and just label the fines you take as cost of operation, outsource the farms where you get your inputs from to South East Asia. And in the final one where you have to sprint for a Billion or lose, bribe a politician instead of just paying your workers properly.

Onto the things written in the page, saying that Central Planning is unfeasible against Laissez-faire approaches because it's centralized is misguided in my eyes. Because there is an argument made that the system used by the Megacorporations is basically using Central Planning. For more details on that statement, check out the book "The People's Republic of Walmart: How the World's Biggest Corporations are Laying the Foundation for Socialism" by Leigh Phillips and Michal Rozworsk.

I can happily say that I really enjoyed playing the game and am also waiting for the update. The game was an interesting look in the utter mess of a person that is the protagonist. I rather enjoyed how trying to drag the protagonist into becoming healthier is a difficult process, self-destructive habits and her past making difficult process more taxing. And it made the moments in which they look like they are going to be better even more rewarding.

It is also a situation where it's difficult to see a villain. Annie is basically the person "Good Luck Babe" by Chappel Roan song is made for, but doesn't deserve to have her trust violated like that. Protag is stuck in a situationship from hell since they were teenagers and continued until the cheating incident, but they did still cheat and are a really questionable partner. Toni fell in love or at least got feelings for someone who while technically single is practically in a relationship and made a move, but still she cheated on her friend with her partner.

Like it's a genuinely interesting plot and I am eager to see how this utter mess of unsaid words, questionable intentions, and misaligned actions is going to resolve itself.

Okay, go the Historian Route when you do your attempt to heal the South. Jo knows how to pull it off in a way that doesn't  tip off anyone about the fact that artifacts got stolen until it is too late. It also helps with Sussie's issues so you won't have to worry about her causing an incident. You can still go South if you want, but you can definitely return home in this version.

Well to give you some hints, it requires you to find out why the war happened to begin with. States don't exactly declare war for no reason at all, after all. And it would require fixing that issue.

As a hint on how to fix it, it involves understanding that Elaia's past has consequences to the present and a willingness to do what is good even if it's going to be treasonous.

Didn't when I posted that comment but eventually did with help from a walkthrough for the very last set of levels. I am unashamed by that fact because of how difficult it was. And which Finale is that? There's multiple levels with the name Finale but not one named Finale Town.

A rather short game all things considered, but a rather enjoyable one.

Well just played the Demo and enjoyed. I am also interested in how the story would develop. Currently Kim and Wilkens have my interest as ROs but that may change. Kim because of their past history with the MC and Wiklens because they are cute and I want to see where a relationship with them would end up.

Did some runs and found that you can get a "Elaia wins the War" Ending under 10 loops but the minimum for the Golden Ending is 10 considering you need to actually travel south personally. Although I do admit that I haven't checked if there are other ways to get the Golden Ending

Anyway loved this game and everything about it. The characters are likable, the endings are diverse, the world-building is interesting, and when you actually manage to save everyone it feels incredibly satisfying.

Run that I ended up staying is 11 loops because I wanted to meet the village people before saving everyone.

Well this was quite the interesting experience. I found the interactions between the characters rather interesting and adorable, even if the context of why they are having this conversation to begin with is incredibly screwed up. The art itself is pretty good, the music chosen is good and appropriate, and the plot itself is rather intriguing. The sequence, as I would call the whole bodily mutilation part, was strangely intimate and philosophical which was something that I liked.

Overall I find the experience enjoyable enough and myself curious about the characters.

Really enjoyed the game and the music. Would like to see more levels if possible and this concept expanded.

Well congratulations on having an article on PC Gamer about your game.

I did get a KPD+SPD Victory but involved going for a Civil War Victory. My strategy there was to focus on party stuff and keep on expanding and militarizing the Reichsbanner and trying to fix relations with the KPD. I then gave Thalmann the chancellorship and fought with the KPD, with the rather amusing thing where the Reichsbanner outnumbers and outmilitarizes the other paramilitaries and the state's armed forces. That run ended with Thalmann trying to remake Wiemar Germany in the Soviet Image.

Well any guidance is better than no guidance.

And I don't know whether to be impressed that you made a game that complicated or disappointed that you don't know the ins and outs of your creation.

Really enjoy this game you have created. A part of me wants to ask if you are willing to give a guide to the thing, another part of me wants to see if I can accomplish my goals without guidance.

Really enjoyed the Demo presented and am curious as to what the full game would entail.

A rather enjoyable experience, all things considered. Also, bold move of you to give the main character(?) an UWU Anime Voice of all things. Not that it's that hard to deal with mind you, I found that it adds character to the girlfailure.

Took a while but I finally got the good endings.

Really enjoy the game and the fact that it's not an infinite plane. If possible I would like to see what upgrades I have when I pause, or just a general way to see what upgrades I have equipped.

Needs visual indicators of what the ingredient you are currently holding. Aside from that, a pretty enjoyable, if short, game.

What an adorable little game

Loved this, admittedly short, experience

Took a bit of time to repeat it but here it is.

Edit:
Wait, it seems like a delay more than anything. Thought it was bugged or something so I started anew.

Speaking of Bugs, there's another one where you cross the carbon zero condition but the victory screen doesn't trigger. Happened two times now.

Is it me or is the bottom part partially covered by the Menu thing? It makes it hard to read some choices.

The nonbinary stuff isn't working

It's mostly legible mind you, just rather difficult at times. Once again, enjoyed the game.

Honestly, enjoyed my experience with the game, just wished that the text colors weren't constantly changing. It it occasionally makes it hard to read what was written.

Honestly for some reason I keep returning to this short game. Don't know why to be honest, maybe that's a testament to the quality.

Found the experience to be enjoyable enough.

Would wish that some paragraphs were broken down because they were too long. And maybe more descriptions?

Well that was quite the plot twist, enjoyable game nonetheless.

Ok, so a bit of a suggestion, what about making the download version of the game capable of being windowed?

Ok first, the copy to clipboard thing isn't working so I can't export my save. And there was also the fact that my progress got completely wiped, although that is likely a problem on my end than with the game itself.

Also, thanks for responding.

Question is there a way to download the game or something? I am having some difficulties in saving the progress of my games.

Character creation certainly is extensive and it is an interesting thing you are making too. Now I am hoping that there is actual progress in this project.

Well this is rather enjoyable piece. I thankfully never had to deal with that kind of stuff so far. Hopefully you had as much fun making it as much as I had playing it.
