I really enjoyed the game's world and atmosphere. It feels very isolated, culty, and tribal. The map also reinforces the isolation, having that top-down view of everything is nice. The dark, black and red look alongside the ambient audio did a great job establishing the mood too.

Adding some QoL like saving would help a lot, though lots of other comments already said that.

Overall, I liked it a lot! I look forward to any updates if you guys continue it.

Thanks for reading! I'm happy that you enjoyed it, I wasn't sure if people would connect with it or not. I'm glad it was valuable for someone.

Feel free to reach out on Discord anytime, I'd be happy to talk about process or ongoing projects.

Glad you enjoyed. The family drama is intentionally left somewhat ambigious, and some details are scattered across endings.

My goal with Lily was to make her subtly lonely but very likeable, but maybe I neglected how socially weird someone in her situation would be. Having her be that way while also following the player around and talking to them is a tough balance.

Sorry about that error, it only happens the first time you launch the game, then it fixes itself the second time. You can use the most recent autosave and it will put you close to the end, then it'll work. And now the latest version doesn't have that issue anymore, thanks for the report!

I wonder how it slipped by this long, maybe nobody played it in one sitting? Who knows.

I like the concept a lot! It was fun uncovering what was really going on, and the pay-off after all the playthroughs was rewarding.

This game is really interesting! If you’re into things like Gnosticism, Jung, or anything a bit esoteric, play it... and be enlightened.

This was really cool, Gnosticism is a fun topic.

I've had fun exploring it in the past, when reading stuff in the Nag Hammadi library like The Gospel of Thomas or On the Origin of the World, and that shadow part felt very Jungian too. Letting the player interpret it in different ways was also a nice touch.

Sophia's design is really nice to look at. If only she had more screentime.

When playing, I noticed two images that failed to load: "aki_reflection_glitch.png" and "nc305063.png"

Overall, I enjoyed it a lot, it appealed to my nerdy religion-researching side.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm happy that you felt immersed, that was a top priority, though I should try and convey that better with the game page. I can see 3rd-person narration mixed with 1st-person internal monologues being a little hard to follow. I almost switched the whole game to 1st-person narration to make the player self-insert a bit more, but ultimately chose not to.

Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks a lot for pointing that out, It's fixed in the new 1.3.1 version. I'm glad you still finished, hopefully missing that lore section didn't take away from the experience too much.
