Finished proofreading today, the draft has been sent to the layout artist. There are a few things left to do but they are very doable.
I also prepped the stuff I needed to for running my game at PGX, The Pittsburgh Gaming Expo
Hi I'm Joe
I am looking to finish my TTRPG Children With Wands
In Children With Wands you paly as children who have just come into their magic, so you are not great at casting spells yet. When you want to cast a spell you roll a d20 to see how strong your spell in not how well you cast it. I started the game mid covid epidemic and last year in December funded it successfully on Kickstarter. I have been working on it but an having trouble getting it finished. The perfect being the enemy of the good plus a full time job that also requires creative energy.
I wan to finish the game by September so I can have it out to people in October and they can enjoy the pre written adventure "Halloween in Fairhaven" when it is seasonally appropriate.
What need done, a few spells need rewritten and a bit of work on the adventure, I have kind of hit a wall on these. the spell Bluster, a wind spell, is giving me particular trouble.
I may do a simplified version then. I have some assets I like a lot, they are actually a font strangely enough

I will be finishing my submission tomorrow. I will likely only be able to submit the plain text/printer friendly version without a lot of the art assets by that time. The game took longer to make than I thought. Is it acceptable to summit this then later release the more finished version? I am new to jams and am not sure about the etiquette and best practices here.
What I have so far and what the submission will likely look like with a bit better formatting.

I here what you are saying but I am also pretty far into creating the system. I am for the most part avoiding feature cheap. The part of my game that I really love is a secret objective system. I may just be to close to it, but I just don't know any games that I could hack that system into well enough. So I decided to build the game system that would support that idea.
There are a few features that I like but are on the back burner for if I have time.
