Really strong grimdark atmosphere and excellent worldbuilding. The Titan combat felt heavy and brutal, and the final scene with the molten gold was incredibly memorable. I also liked the critique of war as spectacle and business. Great story overall!

Really powerful story with an oppressive atmosphere from beginning to end. I especially liked how Seraphiel’s presence felt both comforting and terrifying at the same time, and Elias’ gradual surrender to the truth made the ending hit very hard. The final image of him burning his ancestors’ remains was unforgettable.
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and character dynamic in this story. Matthias and Sylwen felt like believable companions who had survived far too much together already, and the mix of tension and dry humor worked very well. The bridge sequence with the drums in the fog created a great grimdark fantasy vibe.
Really strong atmosphere throughout the entire story. I especially liked how the Ratmen were portrayed—not just as monsters, but as victims shaped by cruelty and experimentation. R-Prime was genuinely unsettling, and the final reveal about the “extraction” gave the ending a lot of impact. Very fitting grimdark sci-fi.
This story had a very unsettling atmosphere in a really good way. I liked how the communications slowly became more distorted and abstract over time, making the psychological collapse feel gradual instead of sudden. The final transmission and the decision to send another unit afterward hit especially hard.
Really enjoyed the dialogue in this one. Salome feels both powerful and strangely vulnerable at the same time, especially during the conversation about death and legacy. The ending line about dying at the hands of the mightiest warrior in the galaxy was a great way to close the story. Very fitting for the Grimdark Future setting.
