The higher tier researches don't seem to grant any progress when you try to use them

You multiply the weight of the gem by the rate. For example, a diamond is 20 common coins per gram. Say you put a diamond on the scale, and it says 40 grams. 40grams*20coins per gram=800 common coins. And you do that for each gem weight/value.
I'm going to continue using 40grams just for reference. CPG means 'coins per gram'
40g diamond * 20 cpg = 800 coins
40g emerald * 10 cpg = 400 coins
40g ruby * 5 cpg = 200 coins
40g sapphire * 2 cpg = 80 coins
40g amethyst * 1 cpg = 40 coins

Just replace the 40g with whatever the weight of the gem is.

If you're playing on a laptop, it's impossible to pan without a USB mouse, since there's no middle mouse button.

The formatting of the numbers for the email address had me stumped for a bit. Also, considering I don't see a year listed anywhere in the game, that could make it difficult in future years to figure out the right number to use.

The robot arms are INCREDIBLY punishing to new players. Bought my first one, cut both panels open, boom, 4 damaged cells, putting me 2.1k in debt after it ate through my savings, without any other machines to scrap to recoup the loss. Also on that note, the work 'minigame' is painfully slow.

How are you supposed to use the hasher? It wants an input from storage, but the HDD doesn't have any output 'ports'.

Agreed with the point about dirt. Maybe if it was one dollar instead of zero, it might not be as much of a slog. Sure it's not much, but it's better than having a dry run and filling up your bag with worthless materials.

I ended up figuring out how to go backwards by multiplying a 1 by 0, because the display does kinda look like it counted down from 1 to 0. And I'm right there with you on M-

Some documentation on what the buttons actually do would be very helpful. also, if I'm reading the hints right, they appear when they're possible with the selected keys, so how the heck do I count backwards with only addition and multiplication? I have so few buttons, and some more in-depth hints would be amazing.

How the heck do you figure out the cameras? I feel like there's almost not enough data to figure that out.

With the most recent update, there's a line in the last part of Reina's story that mentions Hana, which I assume got missed during the name changes.

I can get to the main body easy enough, but from there, it seems like I can't go anywhere else and continue on. If I go get the legs, the 'lift' doesn't even push the robot high enough to go anywhere. and if I try to go to the right over the boxes, I just get stuck in the nook above the other lift. Am I missing something?

It feels too hard to defend all of the cores. I ended up hunkering down by one and just defending that one while the rest got destroyed.
