Whoa! Nice work. So glad someone reached the end screen :) Not a bad time either! I apologize for the advance year feature :/ we have ideas on how to fix it and I'll try to get to that soon. The reason it gets so slow is because the game is actually running a year's worth of the underlying simulation so it's perfectly accurate (why on earth I did this I have no idea lol), and when you level up global speed, it effectively increases the amount of compute required to simulate the year... not to mention the lack of proper multithreading in browser renders it very very slow. Thanks so much for sticking it out, congratulations on making the world a comfy place, and an even bigger congratulations on winning the Comfy Jam!

Thanks for sending this over! Could be Firefox... I'll have to do some testing. I'm also guessing there may be some localization issues here as the commas aren't displaying for the large numbers and the percent complete uses a comma instead of a dot, so that is maybe the more likely issue. I spent 0 time ensuring that would work properly :) I apologize!

Simply beautiful. It's a little like Viva Pinata but way more relaxed, amazing job!

Oh that’s an interesting bug. Any chance of a screenshot for that? What browser/device you playing on? Thanks for the kind feedback otherwise :)

Really liked the art style and cozy vibes! I had a bit of trouble getting the left vs. right click to work smoothly on my trackpad. Definitely a solid foundation here for a farming game!

Aw thanks so much! Your feedback is heard loud and clear. It goes a lot faster when the game has access to full background thread support but it suffers on web. I have some thoughts to improve it when the build unlocks. If you leave your tab active it *will* complete eventually. The completion% is for the overall game (ie how close you are to beating it), not how far along the advance time is going. This is good feedback too that we will make more clear. Thanks so much for checking it out and the awesome feedback!

This feels like a lost secret Dreamcast game. I was immediately hooked in after seeing my picture on the wanted posters, it made me laugh! Cool music and vibes, I really liked the art style and layout of the town with some cool nuggets hidden away. Would love to play this with friends. I got 7 of 10 posters, couldn't find any more after looking for a good long while, I would have played more but the controls/camera need a good amount of work. I genuinely think if you smooth that out this is a really solid concept.

Bug: While the picture looked correct on the wanted poster, the face of my character was all jumbled, seems like you have some UVs mis-mapped there or something?

Thanks so much for checking it out and the kind words! I passed them along to the dev team :)

Thanks for the generous feedback, and I'm so glad you dug not clicking! I haven't played many clicker games before, and after I got the gameplay loop finished and tested my finger hurt so bad lol - I woke up the next morning and implemented auto click and never looked back!

(1 edit)

Very much appreciated thanks so much! Will check it out when I get some time, and looks like it will be handy for lots of projects.

Thanks so much for the kind words, really glad you enjoyed it! I agree, I think audio settings are a P0 for any iteration we do. Thanks for the feedback!

Really enjoyed this one. Great comfy vibe, cool opening cut scene, and addictive gameplay loop. The ambient windy trees is a nice touch! I found two issues that I really wanted fixed or an explanation for, just reporting them here in case it's helpful!

1. (Most egregious) Harvesting is really finicky. It often would not work at all even when I was right next to the veggie and was given the spacebar prompt. I would (almost every time) need to spam the spacebar while walking all around the veggie. Cleaning this up would have kept me in the game a lot longer!
2. (Most confusing) I seemed to randomly end up with extra Pumpkins/Candy Corn seeds after harvesting them without having to go back and buy them. At first I thought it was a bug, but then I thought "Oh cool, maybe I am getting some seeds from the veggie when I harvest?" and it actually increased the amount of fun I was having as I didn't have to track back to the shop each time and spend money.

Really great concept and execution for the jam. I hope you all keep working on this, add some music and flesh out the concept. Would definitely play again!

Loved the art music and vibes! The gameplay (being boss rush) was a bit intense and not super comfy, I also found it quite difficult (couldn't get past the first boss after a few tries). Outside of Comfy Jam context though I think it's a really promising concept that would likely find an audience. Really nice work! Probably the best opening cut scene I've seen so far FWIW :)

Neat little prototype. I found myself sticking around because I wanted to see what the world looked like all lit up! Definitely would be cool to expand on this concept with chill music, some gameplay fixes (like not being able to drive off the world) and improved procedural generation. Nice work!

I found it more spooky than comfy, but overall cool vibes! I agree with other comments the difficult is very high. I think the swinging scythes move way too fast, and the dark visuals in the game make it difficult to judge depth. Very nice work overall though!

Thanks so much for playing and the feedback! The advance time can take a really long time in the later game progression, but it should run its course eventually. Let me know if it doesn't!
