I was able to reupload the file, but it didn't replace the non-existent one even though I named it the same. I'm not sure how to make the new map the main background map yet keep all the notes, sites, etc I had on my old map that isn't loading.

I had uploaded it from my old computer and don't have the with me on my new computer.  File size is 14.86 MB. (It's the traditional Ironsworn map taken from the PDF and converted into an image.) I'll see if I can grab it from the PDF, convert it, and reupload it .

Hello.

I'm logging into the Augur app on a new computer. I'm getting an error: "There was an error loading the map image file"

If I click on Cloud Library and Maps, the image is there in the Library: Maps pane.

The source says "Personal Library".

Is this a bug on your end or something I can fix on my end. I've tried redragging the map onto the main area, but it's stuck downloading it.

I see. That would explain why it's not saving. In my story my character isn't moving on the map--she's engaged at a single spot but her statuses keep going up and down. Also, the way the journal is implemented is not ideal for long narrative format, so I usually keep a few sparse notes in my journal but mainly write the main story inside of Google Docs right now. Saving it automatically would be helpful. For now, I guess I'll move her token slightly or modify a journal post to save it. Thank you.

I ask because, I've had to adjust my char's supply, health, spirit and momentum for the fourth time. It doesn't seem to be saving!

Why?

Can you supply a Save button that we can click on for peace of mind? Or if there is one, can you please make it more prominent?

I want to attach a custom portrait to my existing character.

clicked on the globe icon and chose Portraits and dragged the portrait into the Library: Portraits screen, and it uploads fine, but I don't see a way to attach it to the character.

Thanks. I did notice that after I posted but up until that point I only saw the current vow and kept trying to add it there. All is well now.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to create more than one iron vow or task. How do you create multiple things? Maybe it's a bug and the add button disappeared or something? Is there a site with documentation on how to do stuff?

Cool. Thanks for listening.

Also, when using the Yes/No oracle (or any other oracle roll), I'd like to be able to have a field to type the question and then have the question and the result entered into a running journal. That way everything is collected and stored and I don't have to try and remember what question and result I had asked previously rolled up.

I found another BUG: When you editing an entry in the journal--multiple sentences or paragraphs---and you add something but then accidentally delete it before you've clicked the quill to save it, the change is gone for good. Ctrl + Z does not bring it back. Journal editing field desperately needs an undo functionality.

Thank you for your reply and Happy New Year back at you!
You could have labels appear only on a mouse over event in a good shaded background color over the button image with good contrast. That would make it so it doesn't appear as cluttered as the label won't stay when they mouse out.

Anyway, another feature request as I've been trying to use this more is I find myself wanting to keeping both the journal open as well as access the Moves and other windows at the same time as my character and my journal. I'd like the option to unpin/pin and reposition any and all windows so that I can make whatever information I need visible at the same time.

Currently the only way to save, I think is by clicking the gear to exit the tool. Ctrl + S should save and a Save button visible on the screen would be useful.

Some more bugs:

BUG 1 - The Journal has some problems:

1) The scrollbar in the Journal window doesn't work.
2) It doesn't remember where I last was in the Journal. If I am at the bottom typing in an entry then click on Moves and come back to the Journal, I'm no longer at the bottom.

These issues make the Journal difficult to use especially as I add more and more content to the Journal.

BUG 2- Names Table is missing Ironlander names.

First off, amazing job on this product! This vtt is a large improvement on the old Ironsworn specific one. Thank you!

FEATURE REQUESTS:

  • Ability to add own portrait.
  • Ability to add milestones under vows, tasks, etc.
  • The settlement maps look cool but the selection is very limited. This needs the ability to tie into endless procedurally generated settlement maps like Watabou's city generator: https://watabou.github.io/city-generator/?size=44&seed=7392091430118&name=Sovilb... It would be cool if you could continue to click refresh until you get the random city or settlement you want.
  • Also, this needs the ability to import own settlement map when creating a settlement or editing an existing one. In addition would like to have a blank canvas to draw my own map instead of using a pregenerated map.
  • Overland map selection needs to provide the standard Ironsworn map (if it's allowed).
  • Labels are needed on bottom left buttons:
    • Current Character, Characters, Dice Roller, Map Settings, Settings
  • And bottom right buttons:
    • Current Character, NPCs, Foes, Moves, Journal
  • For Journal screen, it's functional but I can see this becoming unwieldy for someone like me who likes to add a lot of narrative prose. I'd like these changes:
    • Add some kind of tree view to have sub entries, sub tabs etc for nested info.
    • Make the entire page/tab the entry instead of having to click in the "Write here" box and typing in a small UI. The entire thing should be available for editing, just like in a standard Word doc with scrolling.
    • Allow formatting controls with heading styles etc.
  • Asset cards need filters by Path, Ritual, Combat, Companion etc... When viewing all the assets, scrolling with middle mouse is painful. It needs a scrollbar for quick scrolling. This is needed for all lists, not just assets.
  • Tables inside of moves like Pay the Price should include a dice roller to roll on the table and insert the result into the journal.
  • Dice roller results should stick around in a journal like they used to. I miss seeing that history.
  • I would love the ability to share the character, world, maps, journal entries in a view-only kind of experience online; I feel that Ironsworn or solo RPGing benefits from sharing of created stories with others.

BUGS:

  • Refresh issue. When you delete an NPC it sometimes sticks around until you go to a different window/tab and then come back to it.
  • Cannot delete an avatar from map once dragged onto it? The only way I can see is to delete the entire NPC.
