Sweet and simple! Only thing I want to say about this is that I feel like you could build off of this concept more because I think there is a good amount of potential for the idea (i.e. maybe more mirror edges, different bugs, etc) Overall well put togther for only 1 week of development!

Very smooth gameplay and great audio! I agree with FallingWall and think headshots are pretty easy to score, but was still very fun to play.

Hey! My name is J. I’m working on this short game called Player Escapes the Dark! for the 2025 Scream Jam. 

It’s best described as a multidirectional shooter with elements of psychological horror. Think Asteroids x IMSCARED. The story follows a man trying to wake up from a nightmare where he is tormented by physical manifestations of the dark.

I’m looking for teammates to help with the coding and pixel game art. I can take care of the writing, animation, and music. (If you have experience in any of these as well, I will welcome the help. I’m still fairly new to game development.)

There is no need for you to be an expert on anything, just looking for some help.
