I have had a little break since the original Alpha release.

Amstrad CPC snapshots are now importing into the engine and running in all text modes. The graphics commands are already exported, but I need to update the renderer to handle two graphics targets instead of one for the first time—so it’s a bit more involved than a standard update.

The Web Adventure Player will be updated next, once graphics support for the CPC is ready.

As you can see, the Alpha version is now live!

Right before release, I noticed something missing that had been present in the other test apps — the ending score and turn count (though some adventures turn this off). That’s now been added in.

To mark the release, here’s a screenshot of WebAP running King’s Ransom:

This also highlights a small but important detail that might not have been obvious in earlier screenshots (especially those using the default ZX Spectrum screen colors): the web page correctly displays the proper border color.

If you didn't know King's Ransom was shipped in the original Graphic Adventure Creator package.

If you find issues with this Alpha release, please post in the comments.

Amazing work.  The ESC button page had me for a minute.  Notes: Andy's website above won't work unless the www is removed.

Amazing work!
