If you lock off the pine forest I think you'll need to change the route to the red flower? (Unless I've been going the wrong way to get it, which would fit my track record...)
Love this game! Would help if Igni's tutorial speech mentioned kindling, took me a while to find that was possible and it makes levelling up crafting and keeping the lantern fuelled so much easier.
