What a treat. Everything really hit it’s stride quite well - figuring out the mechanics of fights, especially joker and house, were really exceptional. Art and voice acting were a nice touch. My one thought (not really a negative) is that slots are a tough thing to balance. As it is fully random it sometimes felt like a “just keep spinning”. The luck modifiers are a perfect touch to combat that feeling, as being able to lock in and spin again was the most effective way to get through fights. Excellent work!

And we’re rolling! What a neat little game. Very concise premise and it delivers. The art style is really lovely, and the added decorations tab was a fun bonus. I can see a version with a bit more complexity to manage the windmills, but I think for the jam it wasn’t necessary. Excellent work!

Thanks so much for the feedback! And I appreciate the error message, I’m thinking the Firecracker is definitely the culprit for most folks.

Appreciate your feedback, I definitely agree that a few SFX would clean things up. Thanks for the bug info as well! I know it’s past the bug fix deadline but good to know what can be improved.

Thanks so much for checking it out! I was deep in code right to the last minute so no sound unfortunately.

Giving me serious 2006 MiniClip vibes. Great work!

Incredibly clean game, very fun to play! The polish shows in the right places. Excellent work!

Interesting project, and echoing other reviewers good work with the custom engine. Good job!

What a great game. Great inclusion of the theme, great pacing, a really tight experience.

Fun project, simple premise. Clean presentation overall. I’d have liked a bit more control over the hammer (maybe sprint speeds it up) as waiting for it to turn before poking someone made for some stalling, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. Good work!

Clean presentation and very easy to understand. Everything looks great. Overall a really really strong entry! It did feel a little exploitable being able to hit just outside the hands/feet for a safe “close call” that gained viewers, so it’d be interesting if the person’s position/size changed for a little harder challenge.

Interesting idea, I like core loop. Building the machine was straightfoward though occasionally when swapping gears would behave opposite what I expected (speed up/slow down). Felt like I was missing something with the fire/white circles.

Thanks for checking it out and most importantly thank you for catching the soft lock! I’ll update accordingly

Thank you for the kind words, I’m glad you enjoyed it!

An awesome story! I'll have to check out the podcast. Fit the theme very well, and the GB aesthetic is always a good choice

Awesome game! A unique take on turn based rogues for sure, would love to see it updated to be longer/harder for sure.

Excellent, thanks for the update!

With 4 hours to the start, just wanted to see if we could get the clarification or if it'll be released with the start.

I'm intrigued, but wanted to clarify some details regarding the submission. Is the sprite at the top the style you're going for? and about what size do you want the final product? Finally, I'm using aseprite, so do you want the .ase file as well? Might be nice to have the layers. Can't wait:)
