Given that it can unlock the control suit and give you an ending on the first run, it feels a bit too common of a drop. Kinda comical how trivial it's made deadlocks in general.

I know this is a late and perhaps unnecessary response, but for future reference in other games as well, and for anyone else having similar issues in general...
Save data can almost always be found in appdata/roaming (easily found by opening Run via Win+R and typing %APPDATA%) or documents (often Documents/My Games/(game).
It's more often the former than the latter, but almost always one of the two if the game saves locally (offline games, like this), very few games save to their download folders, because that presents issues when updating and protects the (relatively small) save files from uninstalling and reinstalling the game.
