You mentioned awhile ago on the kickstarter that homophobic attitudes would be apparent on some routes? Is that still the case?

I have played the 0.3.1 and now the 0.3.4 builds but the game seems to get stuck at the same point for me. I can't get chaos armor and I cant figure out how to continue the main quest after I have the plot with the church. I talk to the gangs and then I talk with the church and have both scenes with the Cardinal but I cant figure out how to continue from there. I have had the same problem with both versions.
