there are two issues...
1. unfortunately it won't start because the executable file in the package has no execution permission, but this can be fixed by a simple chmod+x
2. when fixed the game starts with the menu but when you pass the WASD explanation screen and want to jump into the game, you only see the graphics initiating but then it freezes and crashes - can only be force-quit...
