I clicked the doge on the pier a few times, if that's what you're asking :)
I'm so glad I tested if petting the doge really was mandatory (it is).
Also, is the settings menu not in the game yet?
Is the only way to close the chest/shop menus keypad 0? Cause my keyboard on my laptop doesn't have a keypad. And I tried pressing every other button on my keyboard to see if the blurred key was one I had, but nothing I pressed would close the menu.
