Thanks for the info, I still sorta wish for a way to downright disable hunger as a necessity.

When this game works, it's great. Really atmospheric, really eerie, and can be downright terrifying is some moments. But I have a lot negative experiences with it. For example the hunger system is really annoying. I know the dev is trying to make you micro manage more, but I feel like taking care of the satellites, servers, stamina meter, and daily tasks is well enough. It's extremely tedious and only brings my overall mood down in the game, even when it gets to the thriller parts. It's hard to get immersed in existential horror when you can't even see the horror because you keep falling over from hunger since you forgot to buy an MRE today. (if there's a way to disable this, please god tell me)
I also do not like that data processing is not enabled at the start of a game. I find it incredibly unintuitive still, even after taking a break from this game. I spent a good while trying to figure this out on my own, and after twiddling my thumbs for 2 hours I ended up skimming a youtube walkthrough of the game just to figure out that the computer level upgrade needs to be bought first and then you can process stuff. I wish this was better explained to me. I went through the tutorial in game, and to my knowledge I saw nothing telling me this crucial bit information.
There are other issues I have that make me say "Why?" but these are probably my two biggest complaints. I really try liking this game because I love the concept of this so much, but holy moly there are some parts that make me want to pull my hair out in frustration and I become so detached from the immersion that I stop playing this after a couple hours. But if I can get past the annoyances, I know I'd most likely binge play this game for an entire game. Like I said before, when it succeeds in immersing me, oh my god it's fantastic.
