I'm happy you responded and it opens up the possibility of this happening. I replayed this port a lot, and it felt very natural. I was just thinking about Higurashi and it reminded me of you.

If the port to, I don't know, Mega Drive ever happens, there's a tool called SGDK by Stephane-D, where ports have been and are being created without thinking about it. I hope this will eventually become something. Big hug, and sorry for the question.

But what a great experience! I've always wanted to finish the first Metal Gear, but it was too cumbersome. It's crazy that the ever-reliable Mega Drive came along to do the job.

To put it bluntly, there are some things I should highlight that I hope will be patched.

1 - When using the binoculars, dead soldiers reappear on the map, but they're static and pose no problem.

2 - Since this is based on the original MSX game, switching between cards or gas masks inside contaminated rooms is very annoying, which ends up sapping life.

3 - The credits and who each character is are not translated into Spanish, and the original credits are in English.

4 - I tried it on different emulators like the original console; the only one that gave me problems was Kega Fusion with the sound effects.

5 - Since it's using the entire Amiga version's scripts, they skipped this part that should say, "Turn off the Mega Drive, over."

As a bonus, it would be nice to have a map, as it becomes quite cumbersome once you get a level 5 card or higher.

Aside from that, they did a spectacular job. I really enjoyed it. I'm sharing it with all my friends, and they say the same thing. I hope to be able to play MG2 in the future and see how much it's improved. Greetings, and eternally grateful. Greetings from Argentina, land of Mate, Big Boss's favorite drink.

Hi, it was truly a pleasant surprise to find this. I was wondering if, once finished, there would be a possibility of porting it to Game Gear (or even Mega Drive). The development tools have made everything easier, and I also know people who would be happy to do these ports. Higurashi never had a game released on a Sega console due to the era in which the franchise was born, so it would be a dream come true for me. Cheers.

Any opportunity to have support for texts in Spanish?

I played Wily Wars since I was a kid on my Mega Drive, and that's how I got to know the original trilogy, but in my country Argentina, the Sega country par excellence. And now to be able to play this, it's a trip to the past, tested on my Model 1 (Pal-N) and it works correctly. Thanks a lot.

It makes me quite happy to see this project again after practically 10 years since I saw the post in some forum.

I love the new visual environment, the music, and how it takes prototype elements from before the release of Sonic 1.

Now, I ran into some problems, first is that the music volume is turned up despite having raised it in options. Second, I feel that the invincibility frames are very short compared to the trilogy.

At minute 10:12, which I also attached the video, the toad glitch occurs, which for some reason does not stop playing its attack sound throughout the level and becomes quite uncomfortable.

Keep up the good work Overture Team!

I've been playing this game since it came out and its new versions, but I still maintain that the special phases are the worst part of the game and a pain in the ass. As an idea, it could be like the special levels in "Murder of Sonic The Hedgehog".
