Some of this is to give an illusion of choice. you need to run through the tunnels because plot. The game is huge!  many times all the paths are basically the same,  This is done to allow higher quality content,  having three actually differnent options doesn't really help the story it would only bloat it.

In the steam store,  but not released on steam yet

you can add non-steam games to the steam launcher  (start in the games menu at the top of the window)

well it's fairly transparently an incest fantasy game.  if you with the defaults "room mate, land-lady" the dialogue soon becomes odd
