Are you trying to open the .html file directly? It needs to be served by a web server to run properly - try uploading it to your Itch project page, and it should work there.

Oh damn this game is cool. I was always rushing to find more plants for food xD

Only thing that really bugs me is getting stuck on the edges of tiles which aren't even filled completely (like the craters where it looks like you're stuck on nothing since the actual crater is smaller than the tile).
