Such a marvelous concept! I love how the game revolves around both emitting and absorbing light. I found the sound effect of lighting the lanterns very soothing, although... the dark monsters gave me an initial scare! I wasn't sure if I was supposed to get rid of the encroaching darkness by lighting the lanterns that shoot beams. But whenever I tried, I found myself having starting over, so I just raced as quickly to the save points! The light gauge and overall setting is so beautifully designed and the butterfly is such a comforting presence that really stands out with its bright purple color. Music is mystical and really sets the mood.
