Really starting to dislike how most games on Itch are just worse versions of themselves.

What does rarity actually do?
How does the score work? I have gotten similar score almost every time regardless of how far I get, I just made it to lvl 116 and still got 89000 , but when I fail at lvl 89ish I still get around the same score.
