oh my god CONGRATULATIONS Carrot!! I can't wait to play through it AGAIN on Steam Deck (or rather, the full remaster), this is a massive achievement and I hope you're proud of everything you've done. I hope it sees more success there, especially after the major fumbling that Itch have managed to do regarding all your hard work.

Just finished sleepily reading this so I'm hoping what I say makes sense; 

I definitely appreciate the annoyance behind people comparing OCs to different OCs, and how frustrating it can be when you're trying to right new stories without them being judged based on old ideas. Simultaneously, for myself, I look forward to seeing these lil folks develop, knowing that they're from you--after enjoying OW so much, and knowing how much I cared for the cast by the end of the multiple games that came out of the OW "universe," I trust that these characters will be just as lovable and interesting in their own unique, wonderful ways. For me, it's not thinking that the WtDSR cast = the OW cast, it's knowing that their creator is a writer that makes believable, relatable characters.

And also knowing that I'll be grimacing, frowning or glaring at moments appropriately when my new favourites do stupid/awful things, of course!

It deserves to be read by a huge audience, it helped me better understand myself as a millennial that didn't really figure out elements of himself until later in his life, seeing the OW cast go through something similar helped me a lot.

It'll be okay. Your game has a fantastic story that shouldn't be lumped in with the likes of this ban regardless--putting aside the point of censorship being generally wrong. Don't give up, keep creating--you have supporters that will keep spreading knowledge of your work, and the stories your characters tell!

Fuck Itch for kowtowing to the absolute bullshit rules of Visa and Mastercard, and in turn fuck them for kowtowing to nonsense right-wing purity groups that also support disgusting things like "Cuties." This tells an important story with grounded characters and doesn't deserve to be lumped in with the likes of "sexual content" or "fetish fuel" whatsoever. That's the exact OPPOSITE of the point of the story. You deserve better than this, Carrot. Don't give up.

I'm playing on Steam Deck with a mouse/keyboard controller scheme, works great, very low power drain (a given, considering how lightweight it is as an app), but I was wondering if automatic login or save username/password option could be considered? I know that this would make things far simpler for many users, and it'd just be really nice to have for anyone not actually using a computer!

Other than that, really loving the game!

Won't say too much here because of spoilers, but saw on your tumblr the question asked about one of the unnamed trio and I had a FEELING I knew who it was so I'm glad I was right, hah! This was awesome, both in artistry and comic layout, and seeing more Genzy in any scenario is amazing. Hope you're having fun with it, and I'll look forward to more if you continue!

I literally (five minutes ago, at 2:30AM UK time) just got done with all the epilogues of Arc 5. My God this whole visual novel (and its offshoots) is(/are) perfect, compelling, adorable, saddening, gladdening and enriching all at once. Amazing soundtrack work, fantastic motion sequences using the (usually static) character models, the amazingly done CGs and enchanting cutscenes. I literally played these games over the course of three days, and as soon as I get my PC fixed up, I want to do a proper narrated read-through of the series and generally give my own thoughts, too. Every character had a fantastic arc, everything flowed so well together, and my anxiety rose and crashed in waves throughout every single arc.

Thank you for this, Carrot. You truly are a master of your craft. Please do something I can actually pay for, somehow, because you really should have been charging for this. I can't wait for your next project, and will look forward to going through the remaster again, too--I might actually save the recorded playthrough for that...

I am curious though, do you have any frames of reference for character voices, headcanons or anything? I know everyone reading will have them sound different in their heads, but for some reason I picture Genzou as having a rough (due to his smoking) Brooklyn accent...despite not living anywhere near Brooklyn. Might just be the smoking and the fairly crude mouth, though.

I can't believe how engaging this was--or maybe I can, after going through arcs 1 - 4 of Our Wonderland--but not only was the writing great, the art was fantastic and full of life (the character models, the backgrounds, the CGs, and the animations/animated sequences were something I had no idea could be accomplished in Ren'py, and the soundtrack was fantastically done. (I loved the little beginning/rhythmic timing of the end credits sequence, too.) Amazing job, Carrot. And now onto T2A2.

Little late to this announcement, as I've been working through games I had on the backburner, as well as those in bundles, and found this in the Queer Games Bundle 2022. Absolutely loved it and the characters and had to share it with my boyfriend. As an older queer dude, I love finding gems like this. After going through your updates, I hope you're doing better than you were in the previous one, and I'm glad to hear you've been motivated to continue creating! Super looking forward to what comes from the remaster, and your future projects. Please take your time and take care of yourself!
