I just spent 4 months beating La-Mulana for the first time and it made me think about this game, so I played through it again. you've definitely captured some of that delicious La-Mulana flavor in this. hehe
this game is really fun! I'm trying to get some S ranks, and it's super challenging. keeping up your momentum while avoiding damage and extinguishing everything is wicked hard, but quite rewarding. very good work so far ^w^
neat little package! puzzles were tricky, and they were well-designed and compact enough that it was never annoying to have to retry if I messed up. good music overall as well, very charming. the only real issue I had is that the game seemed to eat my inputs every now and then.
but really, good job! this is a very solid first game in both presentation and flow. c:
