Amazing art, however i wish I knew how much dynamite I had found! Also don't be afraid to slow the tutorial text down, maybe make it so when I click it finishes printing out and when I click again it goes next?

Fun regardless and very pretty!

Quite a strange game to be honest, though not unenjoyable! It was cool to see everything interacting but I didn't really understand the concept/goal too well!

Super fun, cute lil art style too. I died a lot though O.o

Very retro. Even as someone who usually does not like these kind of games it was quite good! Great art style and extremely unique/consistent. Good job!

Thanks! I was worried the learning curve was too steep... but if it wasn't then it got very boring for my play testers once they figured it out a bit :)

Thanks! I have started a few in the past but decided to actually finish this one and polish it up a bit and then get it out the door. Very satisfying to have done so :D

After reading the comments here it is clear the control is actually ";" for opening the terminal! Very cool graphics and atmosphere though!

Fun, I'll be totally honest though I kinda wish it didn't disappear. I know that that is part of tetris and is actually a skill issue with me not planning for it but it was a little sad seeing a line vanish that I had specifically crafted :)

Unfortunately you have to be in full screen for the game to play properly, however it was honestly way more fun than I expected it to be. once you get a hang of it it is quite fun! The color transitions were quite jarring however, maybe add a transition between instead of just quickly changing it!

Atmosphere was definitely one of the areas I was hoping to be strong in :) You're game was a blast btw, I expect it to do exceptionally well if not outright win!

If I'd had more free time I would have definitely added a few, possibly in a wave attack style. Thanks for the feedback!

Nobody said they were the smartest of little folks!

Really good art, I wish there was an easier way to determine what objects were fake... I didn't really feel like my input mattered.

Good art style for sure! Wish the jumping was a little more forgiving though!

Wish the controls were a little snappier but it was a good time regardless! Solid music too.

Really fun strategy game, I'm a big fan of the vibes. Great shaders and this was very similar to one of the ideas I had! Enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks! The no full screen was a specific choice, with how much you have to lead your shots the small screen made it a lot more ergonomic for my play testers. Thanks for the feedback though!

Good aesthetic and theme!

Fun little game and I like the art style, and I'm a huge fan of space so this was refreshing!

Great game and very satisfying!

Great visuals, however the hitboxes and followup shots hitting the old explosions are quite unforgiving. Very Fun!

BTW, bug where the arrow at the start of the array (not the end, or the one at the bottom) goes away!

Classic DOOM style!

Classic DOOM clone!

reminds me of playing mercury meltdown on the PSP

They're my favorite part of the game :)

Thanks! I didn't want to add shooting delay, but wanted to disincentivize the repeated shooting. There are more elegant solutions if I'd had the time :)

Seems difficulty was definitely on the harder side. Hindsight would have me change the scaling a lot!

The difficulty was a hard balancing curve, once you lead the shots enough it gets easy from what my friends said. hindsight I'll make the next one easier! thanks for giving it a play.

Wow, first floor enemies are tanky! I would definitely recommend lowering their health a bit! (or make it clear I went the wrong way?)

Howdy mods!

I wanted to ask in here before I got cracking away at this in case this is a non starter at the get go. I know this is a "classic" Rougelike jam, but it also encourages innovation. Concept is below, let me know what you think!

Title: Pocket Dimension

Idea: Pool/Billiards, but rougelike

  • Player gets a single shot, then enemies/environment goes (Turn based)
  • After you clear the room, choose your exit (Different Pockets on the board)
  • 3 types of pickups
    • new pool cues (different power for shots, more damage, etc)
    • new pool cue balls (flaming, fast, bouncy, etc)
    • consumable 1 time use (chalk, aiming line for critical shot, reposition, etc
  • hazards on the table
    • spikes to deal damage
    • sandy areas to slow you
    • walls in certain areas
    • bumpers for random bounces
  • killing enemies/clearing rooms/looting chests give pieces of 8 (currency)
    • X amount can be combined into an "8 Ball" which is a life
    • can be used for any currency purpose?

Where it fails to meet the classic is in the grid based environment and in pure RPG elements. I do not plan on having classic stats, besides those of the cue and ball (maybe that counts?).

(may remove scope due to time constraints) I just want to know if this is too "on the line" before I start trying to put it together. Let me know!
