Здравствуйте Maxime, im jack — I came across your post about looking for a sound integration project and checked out your MGS redesign. Really strong work.

I’m currently 5 months into developing a retro-style GZDoom/UZDoom mod (32 devlogs so far). Weapons and enemies are fully animated, combat loop works — what’s missing right now is impactful, properly implemented audio to really sell the feel.

The project’s unpaid (pure passion), no crunch, full credit, and you retain rights to your work. Small, relaxed team.

What I’d mainly need help with: • Organizing and importing SFX into PK3 • Writing/editing SNDINFO • ZScript sound calls + syncing • Making weapons feel punchy and responsive

I know your main stack is Unreal + Wwise, but if you're open to learning GZDoom’s workflow, I think this could be a solid portfolio piece and a good technical challenge.

If you're interested, I can share gameplay footage and we could maybe start with implementing one weapon as a test.

Let me know what you think 🙂

Howdy Zhe my name jack

I’m currently developing a retro-style DOOM mod in GZDoom/UZDoom. I’m about 5 months into development, with weapons and enemies fully animated, and I’m now looking to improve the overall combat feel through stronger sound design and implementation.

Your background in game audio and experience with Cubase, FMOD, and Wwise is great. Even though my project uses a different audio pipeline (PK3, SNDINFO, and ZScript), I’d be happy to collaborate if you’re interested in learning that workflow.

Since this is a hobby project, there are no deadlines or crunch — just focused, collaborative work. Full credit is guaranteed, and you retain rights to your work and you can work on project when your free not during the week only if you're free on the weekends.

If you’re interested, I’d love to start with a small test task (for example, redesigning one weapon sound) to see if our styles match.

Let me know if that sounds good, and I can share gameplay footage and devlogs with you.

this is awesome Köszönöm

oh cool im happy to hear that man. thank you

np happy to help
