The IF is set in 192 AD, which is mentioned briefly at the beginning of it. Hati focusing on the Romans' loss over their victory is probably just because they hate Romans. Their intense hatred of the Romans is why they have no tolerance for the Britons for allowing themselves to be conquered and Romanised by them. Remember, Hati doesn't see the Britons that fought Boudicca when they look at them, they see the Britons that joined the Roman military willingly.

The Legion is not explicitly stated, but the IF takes place in Mogontiacum. The legion that was stationed there at the time was XXII Primigenia. Similarly, the Emperor who's name has thus far gone mysteriously unmentioned is certainly Commodus.

This is truly an excellent, one-of-a-kind interactive fiction. The characters are all interesting and fun (I adore Camilla, personally) , and the author is skilled enough that despite the darkness inherent in the situation, the world, the events and the people you still feel like you're having a blast with it all while not forgetting the threats and dangers that lurk behind every corner. It's blown me away, honestly, and is sort of exactly what I wanted in interactive fiction set in ancient Rome. I do have some quibbles about historical accuracy (the Caledonians are clearly culturally Gaelic even though Gaelic customs and language would not have been common in northern Britain at the time), but this damn book is so good at immersing me in literally every way that even a massive pedantic nerd like me doesn't care about that (even though I normally would). 10/10 would recommend subscribing to the Patreon again.

Quick question to the author: I am a bit curious as to whether we'll see any Christian characters in this story in the future? Not that it necessarily needs them, I just think it might be interesting to see someone having such a secret.
