Title: Soft-lock after Dragonite fight in Blooming Forest (player falls endlessly through map)

Ryzen 5 3500u with radeon vega mobile
Steps to reproduce
1. Play normally and travel through the blooming forest after beating mercenary leader of team magma.
2. Start the Dragonite encounter event.
3. Whether I win, lose, or catch the Dragonite, the post-battle cutscene fades out and my character immediately begins falling through an empty void.
4. Reloading the save (auto- or manual) always spawns me mid-fall, so I can’t recover or move.
What I expected:
After the battle, the player should reappear on the ground in Blooming Forest or trigger a post-battle cutscene.
What actually happens:
The player loads below the map’s collision layer and falls endlessly. The autosave overwrites the file, making the save unrecoverable.
What I’ve already tried:
• Restarted the game, re-launched, and limited FPS to 60 using the pokemon emerald>saved>config>windows>gameusersettings file
• Verified files, fresh reinstall, and restored backup saves
• Same result every time
Save file:
I’ve backed up the broken save. It should load directly into the falling state right after the Dragonite battle.
Notes:
Other players on the itch.io page have mentioned similar fall-throughs. It seems tied to the Dragonite fight transition specifically. If you need my save to debug the coordinates or spawn trigger, I can provide it in dms/privately.
