I keep seeing people joining jams, seeing them as contests, rather then as a fun experience made to improve your skills on game development, and its just really making me uninspired for this project, cause people are entitled and are just doing this to fuel their ego or to just try to win a quick cash, and i understand that the hosts are doing everything they can to prevent this

it was ai slop, you didn't watch how to jam at all probably, cause the host said there that jams are about having fun and improving on game development, this is not a contest, dipshit

and i feel like i am focusing too much rn on it

i'm almost done with all of the art, even tho i put it on can be done later

Looks nice, but for me i'm a bit panicking that i am rushing everything and that i won't use my time enough

i agree, game jams wouldn't be game jams if they were easy

in the first hour the jam started, there were only ai games, and they got taken down like an hour ago. there can and will be and there is ai games here

Yeah it is really hard in that situation, but another tip fromthe brackeys "how to jam video" was that "take your idea and now divide it by one and add a couple zeros to that" and i think thats a really simple but also really good help for me and i think for a lot of people

you don't have to be fully original, you can steal an idea but not fully copy and paste a game, and i feel like you can make a trust no one rpg

So this is my first game jam that i'm actually thinking about submitting a game in, and i have worked for half a year now on godot, and i'm somewhat good at pixel art, but i'm straight dookey at music composing and this could be an opportunity to improve, but i'm also a bit afraid if i can improve
