The movement is really unique, and I really liked it. The variety of upgrades and powerups was cool to see. I loved the art and sound. I wish strokes were a bit more impactful because when I went high speeds it was near impossible to turn without breaking.

Gameplay is good, I like the unique score concept of doubling it. Wish the nothing button did something other than returning you to the main screen. Maybe it reduces you score but makes the screen wider so you can dodge easier? Just an idea. Shame it didn't have music. The old style shader was good though!

Good game for your first game jam! I found the exit really quickly but I think I got lucky. I like the character's animations.

Fun idle game! I love the art. I feel like this could be easily developed on, with more content! Nice entry.

Wow, I’m glad you liked it so much! Thanks for playing!

Yeah, I only made the ships on the second last day so I didn’t have much time to balance them lol. But I’m happy how balanced it got in the end. Thanks for playing!

Great ideas! I really like these! I love roguelikes, so an upgrade system seems really fun. I have to make running out of energy more threatening  because it doesn’t drain much health when you run out. Thanks for the nice comment!

Really liked this game! The art and animations are both super cute. The mining sound is a little abrasive, but I'm glad the other sounds have pitch shifting. Wish there was more content, I could easily see how this could be expanded upon!

I think this is the best puzzle game I've played in the jam! Really original, really fun. I found that the movement speed changing in the goose and the goslings was a bit frustrating as the different speeds made me mess up jumps. Other than that, good game!

Fun idle game! Just wish there was a way to go up faster...

Cute little game! I liked the story, it seems interesting. I'd like to see this developed as a full game! I was happy that the second half wasn't just a walking simulator and actually had stuff to avoid. Good game overall!

Thanks for the nice comment! I figured animating the collectibles would make them stand out more. This game jam was also good practice for my music skills.

Really good art! The story was a bit short, I thought it would lead up to something more ominous, but otherwise, it was great! Overall, I like the gameplay!

Oh, another spaceship game! The movement feels awesome, the perfect example of easy to learn, hard to master. Sometimes the time between debris spawning felt really long, like 5 seconds of nothing.  I think the map idea has  a lot of potential. I love the variety of bullets to dodge! I think it needs some music to get rid of the silence.

I thought it would be a little creepier, but the "home-made" sound effects added a layer of humour!  I like the attempt to show you moving down the twisted depth, as it disappears like a progress bar, pretty unique. Gameplay is a little bit boring, more enemies would have added some variety but I saw the comment about the bat.

Fun game with unique gameplay mechanic! I think it could have done with a bit more polish, and at times I was confused by new things, but I figured them out eventually. Good entry!

The art and animations are amazing! I liked the game but found it a bit too easy. Once you had a swarm of robots you could take on anything in your path. I would love to see more content!

Fun game! I liked the art and the setting. The achievements were cool to see in a game jam game and made me want to play more!  I really liked the creative upgrades you could get. Overall, great game!

The story in this game was great and really creepy! It made me want to know more about the world this takes place in. The gameplay wasn’t too exciting, but I know that this was a game made to tell a story rather than to have the best mechanics. Overall, great entry!

Thanks for praise for the art! I intended for the Bulwark (the armoured ship) to be high health, low energy but I think I gave it a little bit too much energy lol. Still, I’m happy with how the balance turned out!

(1 edit)

Thanks for coming back and trying the fixed version! I’m thinking of making a post jam version with more content so look out for that!

Thanks for the compliment!

I loved this! The art, the sound, the ambiance, all great! The only thing was that I accidentally softlocked myself sending a rock down a hole I hadn't looked down and had to restart, but that was probably on me for not looking down in the first place.

Thanks for the praise! I'm glad you liked it.

Love the game! I like the style, the dithered faces were unsettling and added to the atmosphere.  Gameplay is simple and easy to learn but fun. Wish it was a bit longer and had a bit more depth. Maybe some different dice sides that different things? Overall, loved the theme.

The gamefeel is strong in this one. The ambiance feels great! Sady, not one bit :( The genre switch halfway through suprised me, being a little bit jarring. I think it could have worked better if the game started with a small amount of stealth required to ease the player into the switch. However, I really like the art, and the story is interesting, if a bit fast paced, which I can understand due to it being a game jam game. Overall, really like it!

Loved the artstyle and the tutorial, knockoff clippy was pretty funny.  Very unique premise but I got stuck on a level and couldn't find the link. Overall, pretty good game!

Fun puzzle! There seems to be a bug where if you aren't fullscreened, the screen turns red, but it's still 1 bit at least. Liked the pixel effects and animations like the bubbles and the corals.

Sound design is definitely this game's strong suit. The sound really added to the creepy ambiance. Game play was good and made me unnerved.  The extensiveness of the settings suprised me! Liked the jumpscare whenever a fish got you. Nice game!

Made it in 10 days! Pretty satisfying for an idle game. It was really fun watching the little miners race each other in their tunnels, and when loads gathered in one tunnel, it made you feel super powerful. I like the twist of making it a short, replayable optimisation game instead of a "click until infinite" sort of idle game, fitting for a game jam when games will only be played for short times.

Very fun endless game. I wish the tutorial was a bit more intuitive, because it took a little while before I figured out how the debt worked, and how you needed to have no debt to progress through shops. I liked the animations for the miner and the sound design is very good! I spent a good 30 minutes mining!

Thanks for the constructive criticism! I was worried I would make it too complex and it would be frustrating to learn. I’d like to add more complexity if I make a post jam build and continue developing this game.

Thanks for the reply! I’m glad you found it entertaining.

Not going to repeat what the other devs have said, but if you genuinely want to be a good game developer, please don’t use AI. (And don’t blatantly lie about using it either!) It’s looked down upon in this community as lazy and low quality. Submitting slop to game jams will never get you any passive income, and there are better methods that are more beneficial to society that will get you more money, aka, a job. I genuinely hope you chose to do something not as sleazy as this.

Good idea! I originally had different types of debris that moved differently but it made the game feel unfair. Now the game has changed so much, I’ll have to try that again to see if it works any better.

Thanks for the comment! I would have loved to add more ships but I didn’t have enough time. I might make a post-jam build with more stuff though!

Thanks so much for the nice comment! I’m glad you enjoyed it.

The bug should be fixed now! :)

Thanks for pointing that out! That will be fixed soon.
