Actually the goat developer, the amount of bugfixes and improvement through feedback you do is insane. When I first found this game I didn't expect much, but it has since become one of my favorites that I've found on Itch.

It would be great if the familiarity you gain would increase with the amount of overkill damage you do for an incentive to get strong and an easier way to farm familiarity

That's not what I meant. The Dev said that certain actions can impact the arrival time of the beast tide

Has anyone figured out which actions affect the beast tide timer?

Yep I ended up getting the first beast tide 5 lives after The Upper Gates Close. I guess I should have waited a bit longer before commenting. Thanks for the tip on what to do next!

Yeah, I've been focusing on life nourishing cultivation since I have Temper the Meridian Paths to over 200, and I definitely have all the inheritances, but I have no idea what to do with them

I'm loving this game, but I'm stuck and have no idea what to do next. I just got "The Upper Gates Close" milestone and I have over 100 on every task except the longevity one, which I have +32/80 years on. I've beaten everything in the explore tab all the way up to and including the sect entrance exam. Could anyone tell me what to do next

are you in the latest version? Update 1.9.1 added the ability to scroll by dragging the slider on the side of the menu!

What determines how many mastery shards you get? Is it based on time? Or is it a set amount for each level?
