yep. if you press x while no note is pressed, you will close the piano. otherwise it will play the selected note

actually a really cool idea yeah!

really really good game. the eerie 1bit dithered style is so so cool. i was so on edge the whole time. i honestly think u could've added jumpscares tho lol

i had to be careful with this game bc i am famous for getting suuuper addicted to fishing games, which doubles as being a kind of expert on fishing games. so that being said, this game did hook (lol) me. the art is pristine and the simple gameplay is easy to learn, and surprisingly tough to master in a way. i think if this game had a slight amount more polish and content, and maybe some more cohesion with all the different art in the game, this could easily be a full release and i would probably buy it, though my friends might try to stop me lol. <3 love it

brilliant game. simple and addictive. bonus points for kind of being a technical marvel, at least in my eyes. <3

this game is good! i did accidentally softlock quite a few times here, but i didn't really mind because the game is quite beautiful and controls nicely, and also once you know what you're doing it's quick to get back to where you were. i think i need to come back later to try and actually beat it.

great game. a lot of references to the stanley parable in the comments but it more specifically reminds me of the beginners guide, a similar game by the same creator. the meta-puzzles were really fun and the writing was pretty funny. i think the platforming was rough but honestly this seems like it's by design lol. great job !

one of if not THE fav of the jam. art is beautiful, i have a soft spot for trivia games, and it being combined with some silly physics based stacking? winning my heart. i'm probably gonna keep this game on my pc until i've seen every question lol. only note i'd have is audio mixing is sometimes a bit unbalanced, and if i'm referencing audio mixing as a criticism then it's clear that this game is basically perfect as is. <3 10/10

this game is quite underrated i think. i like the core gameplay loop and concept a lot. i spent more time in it than maybe i should've lol. i think for notes: i noticed the player controller diagonal movement isn't aligned to the isometric view, so it was quite jarring to move diagonally and not be where you expected, and also the player sprite similarly isn't drawn in the isometric style which adds to that feeling. i think that literally is my only note tho otherwise this is a great game!

this game is a banger, perhaps a hidden gem. gameplay is funny and kind of evil. audio and music especially is so funny to me, the random corporate buzzwords over some kinda hype music lmaoo

if you'd like a hint, read on. if not, thanks so much for playing as much as you did !

the human can stand beneath those small rings in the ceiling, and do something cool with X :)

this game made me cry. there's nothing in this game, just a wheel that spins. no respite from meaningless gambling and money going up and down and up again forever. it feels sort of good to spin the wheel and let the money go up once, then quite bad to spin it and have the money go down, but it just feels REALLY AWFUL to spin it at all after a while. the small messages just add to the despair that this game makes you feel. genuinely, i think this is a piece of art. (all of this is positive btw, it sounds like i hate it but i don't i really really love it)

the art in this game is probably the best i've seen this jam? it's so clean and beautiful, kinda silly and funny at the same time. it is reminiscent of some older games i've played where the environments are all hand drawn stills and such. so cool !

thankyou! yea i think the game would be quite dramatically improved if the player could just.. pick which creature they wanted, and tbh i only really put in the wheel because i thought "the cycle of samsara isn't obvious enough for theme relevance, i need to add a wheel" lol.

i like your game too ! handshake for having similar names :)

this game is very good, my one big issue is difficulty tuning i think. it's very hard not to take damage, especially against the boss where the bullet patterns are impossible to weave through. but i really enjoyed playing and i like the creativity with the theme. this with some work and more content could be a really good roguelike game.

Great Scott !! this game is amazing i was giggling the whole time

great game. i really liked the unique approach to these types of games, where you level yourself up to make the game easier over time. it allows for things like challenge runs etc. the audio and visuals and JUICE are all so good in this game it's really impressive, and the story had me giggling too. i think the only note i have would be to make the amount of jumps the player has contrast better with the rest of the game. it took me a while to actually notice it so i was slightly confused when i had more jumps left etc. amazing game tho

yeah that was in my list of known bugs but i never got around to fixing it since i thought it didn't matter too much. similarly you can jump up to that platform from below it if you're in the right spot lol

very enjoyable game. it has a very spamton vibe that i really appreciate. not sure if i was just unlucky or if the economy is slightly overtuned but i had to get a jackpot to even attempt to get past the first "level".

Edit: returning after being informed about the bet slider on the right. i LOVE this game. i think my only note would literally be to make the bet slider more obvious lol

this game is very cool. i wanna definitely come back to it later to try to master it. a very unique idea of picking the bullets up

i'm aware of the AZERTY issue. it's kind of plaguing me right now lol, because i feel bad for the people who had difficulty playing. i will push an update post-jam that should allow for more robust controls. maybe even a rebind option if i can. thanks for playing !

i'm sorry :(. i think the biggest lesson i'm taking away from this jam is to consider alternate keyboard styles and layouts.

I learned that you can host music on itch, so after a short break i'll be putting the songs i made for this game up on here for free download or whatever :)

quickly became one of my favs, though i have a bias for a black and white game :p.

honestly if you added like a bunch more microgames, i'd return to this often

GODDDDDDDD THIS IS GOOD. i love this so much it's so silly and i'm so bad at it. really good art and music choices

this game is like, the definition of juice. everything in this game looks, sounds, feels amazing. such a simple mechanic brought to life so elegantly

this is a very good and perhaps underrated game, in my opinion. beautiful art and music. really solid game design. overall just a neat package.

super cool art style. some fun trickery in relation to it too (job application). this game is suuuuper difficult tho. it feels pixel perfect at times.

i enjoyed my time with this one. i think maybe the wheel itself could've been centered or something, as it was very prone to not spinning when i wanted it to.

oh this has sauce. i love when the hampster turns into a lil basketball lmaoo

this game is great. loved playing it. i pretty quickly found an exploit that would probably trivialise the game, but i chose not to use it for the true experience. had a blast with this one.

i'm spending quite a bit of time in the discord server for this jam, and can guide and give hints if you need !

sooo fun and somehow both relaxing and tense at the same time. i love the music and visuals especially, and the way the tower dynamically builds up is a really nice touch.

really good game. i don't like being poor :(.

"i SLAYED long hoNse!!!!"

i think you're the first to directly reference the integration of the themes into the game design and loop, and i wanted to reply to point that out, because it's one of my favorite parts of the game which may go overlooked. thank you so much!

i really really like this game. it's very  beautiful and calming, with a distinct control scheme that is satisfying once it clicks. extra points for being called something similar to samsara :)

quite enjoyed this one. i enjoy puzzle games that have a few different steps to the solution !

enjoying this game a lot. the UI is beautiful and the creature is so cute ! lovely incremental game formula too

so good! i really wanna return to this and try for a higher score. the unique approach to 3d movement is soooo interesting and inspiring!
