Thank you duckman! I’m really glad it clicked once you realized you could pause typing and come back to the command. I may need to make that mechanic a little clearer in the future, so the feedback is really helpful. I’m also happy the simple visuals still managed to make the game feel tense!

Thank you for playing it on stream! I’m really glad the pressure from typing the commands came through. :)

Thank you so much! I’m really glad the alien and sound design managed to keep the tension up despite the simple ASCII style. That’s a great suggestion about using a more digital font and clearer font weights in the terminal. Separating commands from instructions and flavor text more strongly would definitely help readability, so I’ll keep that in mind for a future update!

Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! I’m glad the buildup and typing pressure worked for you. The alien’s starting speed is definitely something I’ll revisit, especially since spending too long trying to lose it can make commands like the throttle one feel nearly impossible. I’m also really happy the alien appearing at the edge of the screen while typing landed well. That was one of my favorite tension moments to build! :)

Thank you! I’m really glad the typing and pressure worked well together for you. Congrats on restoring the systems too! I’d love to expand on the idea in the future, so it means a lot to hear that you see potential in it.

Thank you so much! I’m really glad the UI still felt clear despite how much information is on screen. I appreciate the sound effect suggestion too. Adding more responsive audio feedback is definitely something I’d like to explore after the jam!

Thank you so much! I’m really glad the ASCII style and terminal gameplay worked well together for you. Trying to make typing feel genuinely tense was one of my main goals, so it’s great to hear that came through!

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you liked the artwork and the concept. I had a lot of fun putting it together!

fun platformer with a bunch of different twists. well put together. great work! :)

cool idea and take on the theme, my highest score was 13, good work! :)

loved the art style and how the soundtrack seemed to fit well. one way to improve is with game variety but other than that good work all around! :)

really good work, i had fun with this one, good work overall! :)

reminded me of fruit ninja. seems simple but it gets pretty intense when there's a lot of orbs on your screen. Good work! :)

really creative take on the countdown theme, the movement felt smooth and it was pretty fun to play. the power ups seemed to be a bit too small but it could have been a skill issue lol. good work overall, it was pretty polished.

reminded me of a tetris roguelite with bombs. really well polished and put together. great work! :)

Really liked the art style and the compass was a good twist to the platforming. Overall good work! :)

very simple yet polished platformer, ledge grabbing and the wall jumping were done well. overall its all put together very nicely. Great work! :)

good music while my brain struggles to math. Great work! :)

really polished couponing simulator. had alot of fun trying to make the store pay me lol. great work overall! :)

really fun game. really cute art and take on a fast food type of simulator with physics. i wish there was a game over when you fail 3 times, so i can easily restart, because currently it feels like a bug rather than a game over. Very well polished and put together though. Great work! :)

i had alot of fun playing this one. the movement feels very smooth once you get a hang of it. polished combat and parries. Overall great work! :)

cool use of the theme, i loved the art style and the challenges were pretty fun. very well put together game. Great work! :)

cool concept, i see the inspiration from backpack hero. I liked how weapons and tools had two different cooldowns, so two different abilities. Good work overall! :)

I had alot of fun playing this one, gave me the feeling of just 1 more run. loved that this game felt pretty complete with a boss fight. Great work! :)

Really creative concept with a great creepy atmosphere and fun minigames. My main issue was that it felt a little unfair, since the opponent rarely made mistakes and some of the circular clicking challenges did not feel very responsive. It often felt like one bad minigame meant the run was already lost. Still a memorable and well-made game!

interesting idea, my ball didnt really feel sticky like in the katamari games, but the idea is there. some polish and i think this could be pretty fun, good work! :)

computer wario ware. cool idea. good work!

interesting concept, now my brain hurt. good work! :)

Really fun twist on 2048! The countdown tiles added a lot of pressure, and the pastry art was very cute. Some of the numbers were a little hard to read quickly, but overall it was creative and fun. Great job!

Really fun and addictive collection of minigames! Most of the modules were easy to understand, and it felt great once I started getting into a rhythm. The art, music, and sound effects all fit the fast-paced pressure really well.

The later levels became pretty difficult, and I had some trouble understanding the lights module. It could help if failing a module briefly explained what went wrong, since stopping to reread the instructions can interrupt the flow. Making the overall timer more noticeable when it is running low would also help.

Overall, this was a very creative and polished jam entry. Great job!

Hey, thank you for such a thoughtful message, I genuinely enjoyed playing Dawnfall, so it never felt like a chore :)

I’m really glad that last-second typing tension worked for you. That tiny window between submitting the command and the hunter reaching you was exactly the feeling I wanted the game to revolve around. It’s also great to hear the visual danger cues held up while muted. I did want the game to remain readable without relying entirely on sound, but I wasn’t sure how well that would work in practice.

The reverb is a good callout. I’ll have to revisit the audio balance after the jam, especially on the intro and How to Play screens. There isn’t any traditional music right now, just ambience and threat sounds. I like your idea of either escalating music or something strangely calm underneath the panic.

You also weren’t the only person who got mixed up about which command belonged to which terminal, so I think the objective and location information could definitely be communicated more clearly.

The idea that making progress would worsen your situation was pretty much the central concept from the start. Every ROOT command gets you closer to restoring the network, but it also gives the rogue process more control and speed. I wanted each successful command to feel like both a victory and a mistake you couldn’t take back. An earlier version didn’t really reward you beyond progressing toward the ending, although the optional utilities were added to give the player a little breathing room along the way.

Thanks again for playing and for taking the time to write all of this out. It gave me a lot to think about for a post-jam version :)

Thank you! That’s a really good suggestion. A unique interaction sound for each area could definitely make the map easier to recognize and remember, especially since a few areas currently share the same SFX. I’m glad you enjoyed it, and I hope your friend gets a kick out of all the terminal stuff too! :)) <3

seems pretty simple at first, but the later levels get pretty intense. good use of the theme, music seemed to fit the game well. good work! :)

really enjoyed this one, dueling to the beat is surprisingly fun, i'm not too good at rhythm  games so i couldn't beat the bird . good work! :)

really cool, reminded me of those arcade machine with the toy guns, gets pretty intense. good work on this one! :)

very interesting mechanic of losing your op powers. had fun playing this one. good work! :)

Very cool interpretation of the theme, feels well polished and i liked the escalation in this game. Good work! :)

Very on theme with the countdown, good puzzles that had me stumped for a moment. Good work overall! :)

math hurt my brain, really cool idea though. Great work :)

interesting mechanic with the rewind, having it set to two colors helped me understand the mechanics better. good work!
