The Game "Ice Splice" also has the same mechanic, so it's at least three games in this one jam lol

The gameplay take on rock paper scissors is very fun, though I do feel like the multiplayer element is missing. I would love to be able to play this against some of my friends, trying to predict the next move of an algorithm just isn't the same as trying to get into the head of someone your playing against, but I get that that would prolly be a bit too much to finish in a gamejam..
Still, the visuals are insanely polished, the style and atmosphere are so fucking slick! You captured perfectly how I felt as a kid when pulling a finger gun (or some other bs) during rock paper scissors^^Pengin :D
I did have the same problems the other comments said, the inputs sometimes not registering and the resolution making it that sometimes you can't see where to go were a bit annoying.
I also think the puzzles could have been a bit more interesting. The ice breaking on tiles on which you already walked on is a cool idea that definitely could've been used more (maybe make it so that if you go the wrong path you can't progress later because you cut off your own path?) as it is right now I never really had to think where to go next, it was always pretty clear.
But this idea definitely has legs. Playing a penguin that slides across the ice is very fun, solve the problems mentioned, add some sound effects and you got yourself a MASTAAPIECEE!!
Thank you, glad you had fun^^
Yeah I think colour coding the different buttons would make things a lot clearer, or maybe have a line that goes from the button to the blocks they affect, like in portal. I didn't think of that, because I placed the buttons and walls, so I knew what each button does. Only when I saw other people being confused while playing the game I realized that they have no way of knowing what a button does, until they press it lol.
This is extremely well made, how did you make a complete game with story and boss fight in ten days?? x_x
The characters are charming, the pixel art sprites look great and the movement is fluid and fun.
The only nitpicks I have are:
-The enemies are a bit bullet spongy, it feels weird to have to shoot a basic enemy like 10 times to kill him, and most of the time you're just waiting there while shooting, making the fight not much more interesting than if it was a one-hit-kill.
-The gameplay overall is kinda simple, jumping and dashing behind the enemies before shooting them worked 100% of the times for me. Something that switches things up was missing, I was never really that engaged during the gameplay bits, even though the movement is great and the overall look of the game gorgeous (I was very engaged during the VN parts tho^^)
But these are critcisms on a very high level, for a Game made in ten days this is really outstanding. I would love to hear more of Johnny Slick and his posse of lovers? friends? sidekicks? situationships? whatever they are, they are very entertaining!
Movement feels satisfying, I like how much controll you have over your speed even in the air. But sometimes it's a bit hard to tell where i am in relation to other objects. A bit more detailed geometry around the level to help you gauge the distance to the platforms would've helped I think.
And yeah as others have mentioned, while the textures look very cool in the still images, they sorta hurt the eyes while moving around x_x
This is a very neat idea, pulling off matrix-like dodges definitely feels satisfying, especially with the replay at the end!
Only thing that bothered me a bit were the controls, having to control both the camera and the limbs with the mouse is a little clunky, i feel like i could've pulled off cooler moves if i were able to move the camera with the keyboard
My dumb ass did not read the description and I tried to avoid the lights at first T.T got -76 in the first run lol. (still not 100% sure what to do with the double circles, avoid the dark one and go towards the lighter one?)
But once I figured it out it was extremely fun! The controls are very slick, having the the ghost go to the opposite side of your mouse feels like your dancing with it, and the smooth movement and little jumps make the controls feel satisfying.
The music is also very groovy, overall enjoyed it a lot, very good game!
Slick as Butter, it's like the opposite of arctic eggs, where you have to escape the pan instead of keep things in the pan.
I couldn't clear the levels with the long pan, but i just read the description and it says that the butter trail makes you faster, didn't realize that lol. Gonna try it again now
Very fun movement, whenever I get the speed it feels great, and the music goes hard.
But the level after the tutorial is a bit to hard imo (couldn't clear it T.T), I kept confusing the run and slick button, or forget that i need to be slick to use the grappling thing, so I would've liked a few more levels where you can get the hang of the controls (with less death pits lol).
