I moved from the city to a rural home a few years ago and the adjustment has been unexpectedly difficult, having grown up a city boy all my life. Reading this it kind of validated me lol. The gravel roads, the small towns connected by just long stretches of road, the friendly people, smaller homes... Obviously it's a furry setting and I don't even live in the States, but it honestly made me appreciate where I'm living now, which is a beautiful thing. (It also made me go grab some beer lmao)
