I was thinking about this today. When the jam is over, I want to add one in, and add in a couple other systems that I thought might have been over kill for a small project like this

Thank you for taking the time to play it, though! And thank you for leaving your thoughts I always appreciate feedback

(1 edit)

Firstly and foremost, thank you for taking the time to both play the game and send me your thoughts on it, I really appreciate the feedback!

As far as the text goes, that was definitely something I tried and won’t be doing again. Swing and a miss there, definitely

I do definitely appreciate your insights on the combat. Interestingly enough I ran into exactly the same problem with this one that I did Hunted, where there seems to be only two categories of player. Those who found the combat difficult, and those who found it too easy, with almost no middle ground

Though, I suspect that bridging that gulf will be much easier said than done

Regardless, thank you very much for your insight!

Thank you, very much. I really appreciate that

I’m going to start by saying thank you for your time and the effort you put into the review, especially since this sort of game is not everyone’s idea of fun

The project itself is my second completed work and was primarily used to test out different systems before I commit time to mechanics that nobody is going to care out. While there is only so much I can do in a couple weeks, I will definitely be using your insight to help refine some of the rougher edges, especially where I was in uncharted territory

I truly appreciate the perspective on the art as its about the only thing that will remain consistent between iteration and it is heartening that all of this is moving in the right direction

Once again, thank you for your time and your feedback!

Thank you so much for the feedback!

That feature ended up being a necessary evil. There are times later on when players aren’t going to want to use every ability, and I didn’t want to force them to

With the next installment I’m definitely going to look for ways to ease that

This looks great! I’m looking forward to the android version

This is honestly more fun than math should be. Makes getting back into the swing of it entertaining and not tedious, definitely recommend

Hi there! thanks for letting me know. My internet connection is… well, more of a suggestion at the moment. I’ve reuploaded, so it should actually be there this time

Thank you! I really appreciate the encouragement and the review as a whole. I learned a lot from this, and honestly it came out a lot better than I thought it would

As far as the difficulty goes, that’s from my pvp boardgame roots. I’ve already adjusted combat massively for the next one

Thank you for taking the time to play, and for the review as well

I’ll definitely give RPG Maker a go. I really appreciate the advice, this is my first completed digital game (i work with paper usually), so I again really appreciate the constructive feedback. menus are definitely a weak spot for me, which I’ll be working on

Excellent, thank you!

Hi there!

Thank you so much! Out of curiosity, would you have preferred it with more rpg mechnaics like levelling?

Hi there! Thank your for taking the time to give me feedback

I am busy with the follow up to this one, so any suggestions would be really appreciated

Hi there! Thank you for the feedback! What Ui bugs did you find? I’d like to address those ASAP

In terms of gameplay this is based on physical games I’ve made in the past, which are, admittedly, less forgiving than a lot of other turnbased games

Most of the gameplay is centered around the lore used

Every enemy has at least one major weak point, most of them share the same weak spots (hex and buckshot are your friends). With the life bars, some enemies will regenerate and recover more life than they have, to prevent players spamming fire. I think the system probably favours longer gameplay though, which I’m taking into account for the next one

That said, I are working on another vertical slice (one more along the lines of what you’re asking for here) and I’d love to get your opinion on it when it’s done

This is my first completed digital game, coming from a physical environment, so I’m eager for any and all feedback. Once again, thank you for you for your time!
